I'm sorry but 2 is very young. None of my 4 kids were trained at that age. Each child is different and there is no rule that a child has to be trained by a certain date. Don't let anyone pressure you to do it until your child is ready and she will let you know. My youngest and a boy was not trained until 4 and it was easy for him. I think making the child comfortable about the use of the toilet and checking to once in a while to see if they are ready is okay. Just don't push just encourage. Good luck.

It sounds like she is not ready. I would wait another 3-6 months and try again.

Stop and try again later. She may not be ready. With your upcoming marriage (Congratulations!), she may falter. Potty training with all these big changes coming into her life may be difficult. Potty training takes time, and if she's not ready, that's okay. She may be in one or two months. Just try again later.

Hi V., we recently visited our granddaughters in California. The little one will be 3 in mid June. She goes into her closet to do her #2. This was funny to us. Anyway we were there for two months and just before we left she had started going to her potty by herself and of course we would congradulate her when we found out. I would say your little one isn't quite ready yet but it will come soon and when it does no doubt she will continue on her own. NO two kids are alike so we really can't say what time is right for all. Good Luck and hang in there it will happen 'at her own time' smile!!

My experience is that you can't rush the process. Every child is different, and she will do it when she is ready. I don't believe in using either punishments or rewards, but if you look at past questions on this topic, you may find some helpful tips for encouraging your child along the way. Good luck!

it is confusing to her once you put her in training pants leave them on her. Do not switch to pullups. She will get the message.
