For all you helpful moms and moms to be...... I had my baby on March 22nd by induction.I was in labor for 8 hrs, not long but, very painful.....I was given medicine every 30 mins for 4 hrs. I tell you what I think that when a mother goes threw labor by induction is the hardest.... My daughter ( Allie) was 5 lbs and 12.9 oz and was 18.5 inches long and was born 13:06pm.... Good Luck to all you mother's and a safe delivery to you all. I just thouht that I would share some news with you all.....

I'm not in your situation but I wanted to say don't worry about having a c-section. I had to have one with each of my boys. It takes a little longer to heal and how much you can lift is limited for a while but the pain is gone after about a week. And ultimately it's the end result thats important - that you have a happy, healthy baby.

I would wait it out. It is unlikely that your third baby would be late and if you can avoid a c-section, then do everything you can to keep from getting one. I had a natural, spontaneous labor with my daughter. With my son, my water broke at 34 weeks and, after a 25 hour un-medicated labor that only progressed to 3cm, I had an emergency c-section. The recovery from my c-section was beyond terrible and I never, ever want to have one again. A planned c-section is much different from one after hours of contractions, which takes much longer to heal from and is by far more painful.

Google Bishop score. I had an induced 23 hour labor followed by a very inconvenient c-section. Good luck.

I have been induced 2 out of 3 pregnancies. Mine were due to the babies not wanting to come out. I went 2 weeks past my due date the first time and 3 weeks the second time around. If you don't want to have a c-section though, I would definitely get induced again this time. You're not going to harm the baby, and it's still pretty much close to your due date. Go ahead and do it so that you can see your daughter, don't wait too long and wind up with complications. Good luck, and I hope you have a healthy, beautiful daughter.
