There are cheap tests all over, even ones for 1-3 dollars at the save a lot and dollar stores. Just get it over with and you won't have to wonder :)
This is somewhat ironic since I was just commenting to someone about this not too long ago in regards to their own question. I got my tubes clipped with titanium clips 4 years ago during a c-section. I haven't bothered to keep exact track of my periods because it seems unnecessary, but I have a general idea of when I should start. About two weeks after my last period I had some light spotting that lasted two days. Now, I know that my period is late. Like I said, I don't keep exact track, but I know that I was done by the 11th of last month because my mom came to visit and that stuck in my mind. So I probably started around the 4th or 5th. So I know that I should have had one about 10 or 11 days ago. My breasts are swollen and sore, but that is a PMS symptom as well as a pregnancy one, so that doesn't mean anything in itself. I had spotting before I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, who was a birth control baby, so that's not helping to ease my mind. I keep telling myself that I'm paranoid, that failure rates are low. But I can't help that nagging feeling. My husband just seems to think it's funny and wants to give it another week before we buy a test. Obviously no one can give me any concrete answers, a test or period will have to do that. I guess what I'm asking for here is a little insight on others personal experiences. What kinds of issues have you had after a tubal?
I talked with a doctor. Turns out that it is fairly common for women who've had their tubes tied to have irregular periods, heavier periods, worse cramping, new pms symptoms etc. They don't know why, it just happens. I wish my doctor had warned me. I would have still gotten my tubes tied, but at least I would have been prepared.

I'd spend the $10 and get a pregnancy test.
No birth control is 100% effective. Even 99.9% leaves room for 0.01% and a possible pregnancy.
Good luck.
The same thing happened to my sister after having her tubes tied and her husband losing a testicle to a biopsy. It ended-up being stress related.
Hoping you're happy either way it turns out.
Being that you had a tubal done and you are late with your period you need to get a test as soon as you can. If you get a positive you need to go see the doctor right away to make sure that the baby is not in one of your tubes. If you come up negative and you still do not get a period in a couple of weeks I would make an appointment anyways, as sometimes them test are wrong.
Good luck! :o)
The Lord has good plans for you and your family. ♥
Run, don't walk and go and get a preg. test today. = )
The Dollor General Store has them for $4.00 each.
The Dollor Tree has them for $1.00 each.
The other stores have them for about $10.00.
Trust me if you are preg. than it shouldn't matter if it cost $1 or $10, the test will say positive or negative.
I hope that you get the answer that you are looking for.
If you ARE preg. then CONGRATULATIONS. ♥
God Bless you and your family.
There was just another poster who asked the same question. She ended up being pregnant after a tubal ligation and apparently got pregnant using other birth control methods as well. I had weird symptoms after my tubal that made me think I was pregnant. I reversed my tubal and now I'm prego with #5. I had spotting about a week before I was to start and then ended up missing my period. I thought it might be pre-menapause since I'm 39 but I ended up being pregnant. Good luck to you!
