Portable or Small Swing?

I am looking for a small or easily foldable swing for my 4 mo old. The swing we bought when my daughter was born lasted us through the first 2 and a little bit of the 3rd and 4 years, but we are now looking for a new one. We live in a small apartment and need one that doesn't take up much room, or can be folded when we are done with it. I've been looking online, but so many have contradicting reviews, so does anyone know of one or have one they like? Thanks!

We bought the tiny fisher price swing 5 years ago with my first daughter, and she loathed it. We had much better luck with the big, hideously awkward swings with the twins. I wish I had a better answer for you. Good luck!

I say small swing, I bought a portable swing with my first child and she just didnt fit in it and didnt really care for it, so the one thing i needed to have with # 2 was a bigger swing. I tried on at a friends house and loved it, ran into one at a garage sale this summer. Storing is great it folds in half and the carrier portion comes out for easy storage! Good luck here is the one i got this summer and cant wait to use with #2 this winter http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3732249

We borrowed the FP aquarium swing from friends and we liked it a lot better than the big swing (that we hardly ever used) that we had with my older son. It was nice that I could take it outside on a nice day. I don't know if I would have paid full price for it myself, but I thought it was a really nicely made swing with flexible, easy-to-use features.

Hi A.:

I completely understand wanting a small swing. I felt like the toys added up so quickly for our little guy.

We had the boppy travel swing at my parents and it worked fine. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3393696 Although, as you could imagine, the options on the smaller swing were fewer than a larger swing. (Less range of motion, only one swinging direction, less interactive mobile and fewer music options.)

Hope this helps.

Unless you have a teensy tiny baby, avoid the Fisher Price Precious Planet take-along swing. It is SMALL - you'll probably realize that when you see it in stores. We found the FP Aquarium swing worked better for us.
