PlumDistrict

Has anyone ever used this company? Apparently, they have "partnered" with Mamasource by Mamapedia, & my email has been flooded with their daily offers of deals.

However, I did a bit of research online to see what this company was about, & found a ton of bad feedback, going back a couple of years.

For anyone who has bought a deal from PlumDistrict, what has your experience been? I'm thinking, if it is not a reputable company, & if actual Mamapedia members are having issues, then perhaps the partnership should be dissolved. Of course, if PlumDistrict is offering great deals that everyone is using without issue, then hopefully it is not a bad thing.

Personally, I don't partake in these deals, so I am "unsubscribing" from their distribution list.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Here's a link to a review site that I found... pretty much, no one (with one exception) was happy with their transaction.

Two of my biggest concerns are:
1. Selling vouchers/items for companies that are no longer in business
2. No refund policy

Itsacrazylife - seems like you were lucky to have a good experience, but you mention that you researched things before purchasing.

To anyone considering purchasing from the website, please do the same. I'd hate for anyone to have a bad experience & potentially lose money because they trusted a site simply because it was partnered with Mamapedia.

I've been unsubscribing from them too.
I'm not terribly thrilled that my contact info has been shared/sold.
It's another good reason to use a designated junk email address when using sites like this so my personal email acct doesn't fill up with spam.

My spam has been flooded with them. I didnt really read them so I wasn't quite sure where they were coming from.

I ordered from Plum District a few times and never had a problem. The orders were a big time frame and not in the past 4 or 5 months so not sure about a partnership with Ms. I have found some deals not worth it but overall I have had no problems.

Most of the deals are purchasing a discount with another company and I always check that company out first.

I'm a little leary because I bought a few items from iChameleon (I think they changed names) via a Mamapedia deal and the quality wasn't great. I haven't tried PlumDistrict at all yet. I buy from Zulilly (which has a no refund policy - it's all clearance) and have had no problems with them, though sometimes the price isn't the deal presented (I can buy the same toy elsewhere for a similar price, for example). Totsy, who was once associated with Mamasource/Mamapedia was terrible. I had to cancel a card to get them to stop charging me for an item they admitted they could not send me. I've used several Mamasource coupons with no problems, including many magazines for children. Not entirely thrilled that Mamasource gave them my email addresses so they can now spam me, though.

ETA: I was just about to post that link. IMO, they are right on target with their reviews, so buyer beware.
