Bottom line, i need more adult interaction. I absolutely love staying home with my son but I need some socializing. My fiance works from home, but to my surprise I'm not sure I like that too much. I feel like I should be getting more contact since he's at home, but I'm getting much less than what I want. I have a few friends that have a baby around the same age, or are expecting but most of them don't live around her so its very inconvenient to go to the park for an afternoon with them.
Have you been to the New Moms Group at the Camp Hill Giant? It's that huge Giant near Barnes & Noble and LA Fitness. That's where I met a great group of moms when my daughter was about 6 mos old. They used to meet on Mondays around 10:30, but it may have changed since it has been 2 yrs since I've been. They meet on the 2nd floor Community Center inside the store. It's great!!!

I live in Indian Creek (Mechanicsburg). I was in a great playgroup in my neighborhood when my kids were young. We met once a week - rotating at each other's houses. My kids have been out of the group for 5 years, but I think it's still continuing. If you want more info, send me a private message and I'll put you in contact with someone.
I have foung playgroups on the Web....but you can't control them (the people OR their kids) and I find that alot of people have events to promote their STAHM business of whatever sort. So...I just look for other moms...at the store, playground, school. Or here. I babysit at my house which makes it difficult to get out....but I have an 8-month old boy so if you would like to get together let me know!
