Beverly is a good elementary school. It is the only school I substitute in and I have been subbing 13 yrs.
There are several children in the Structured program that do not live in the zoned area in order to go to Beverly. I understand they have paid to transfer to Beverly because of the program they have.
I am biased... because it is where my daughter went through elementary. It is a Nationally recognized, exemplary, Blue Ribbon school. I am SO glad we are a part of Beverly.
Is Centennial in West Plano? 75093 area? You can find a home in that area that is not $300,000. However, it is prime real estate. Our daughter has a condo in West Plano. I love West Plano and we are there a lot but I hate the traffic in that area. It is so crowded.
Our area is around the Custer/Hedgcoxe area. Check out Beverly's website and read about the programs offered as well as the information you get from the Plano ISD site.
Good luck
ETA: We did a transfer for Senior High School and you go to the PISD offices on 15th street in Plano, the FIRST week of January to get on the transfer request list for the following year and pay $50. My neighborhood is very large and we have a lot of students going to all 3 Senior high schools in Plano. The school they are currently assigned to is Plano Senior High.
Granted... in a case like yours, decisions can very well be made at the school level with administrators at the specific school.
We have an Allen address and we are Plano schools. At one very short point, we considered Allen ISD but elected to stay in Plano. We didn't get into it far enough to learn any restrictions but I don't think you can change districts, only schools within a district.
Whatever you find out, I hope things work out well for you.
