OH, I love the smell of that cake, the buttery pineapple....where did you put the pecans? I'm going to go and make one...
I made whole grain brownies for my son and they were delish as it was 45 degree this morning here...
Just pulled one out of the oven. Rained all day here, it's cold outside. And that cake smells WONDERFUL!
Just wanted to gloat :)
I cannot believe it was 58 degrees today, in California, in JUNE! So friggin crazy!
It was totally the box mix, found it at the little mom and pop store in my neighborhood. I do usually make a homemade one tho, I think the recipe is on allrecipes.com.. and I do it in an iron skillet, it has pecans in the recipe and is AWESOME. This box one will do me just fine on this rainy day tho for sure :)

Yumm! I made Alex's Birthday cake, it was a butter recipe cake mix with a whole stick of butter! Smelled divine when I got it out of the oven, so yummy too! Butter cream frosting...licking my fingers so good!
SA-WEET! I'll bring the brandy! Be there in, uh, bout 8 hours!
:)
Mmmm cake. You just reminded me there's some leftover cake in the fridge. I'll be back soon....
My mom's favorite!
I can almost smell it from here :)
AWESOME! I love that so much, and almost never (EVER) get it. Thanks for the thought---I'll be making that this week for sure, lol. (I have been missing my grandma; this is a tangible reminder). :)
Oh please share your recipe! I have a hard time finding the boxed mix anymore, and I prefer the crushed pineapples vs. the rings. I've tried to figure it out myself with little success:(
Well, I, for one am extremely jealous!!!!! LOL
It is 100 in the shade here.
I have a fresh pineapple in the fridge, looked up recipes, but it is just too dang hot to turn on the oven.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm....cake!!!!
That sounds wonderful. I wish my little family would eat it, but no. I would end up eating the whole damn thing then feeling worse. I too can't believe it's June in CA. I live just NE of Sacramento and usually we've been wearing shorts for almost a month now. My son is taking it pretty well, but DH is having a melt down. We have been planning our family vacation for next week for about 6 months now and the plan was to drive to Yellowstone, but we had not many solid plans, because we like to have adventures and that's one way to do it. Well...who would have thought it would be snowing from the Sierras across half the nation in June. We expected cooler weather highs in the 60 lows in the 30s, but really? snow??? So there goes our family vacation plan. Last night I told him don't worry, I'll plan us someplace where it's warm, and we'll still have fun. He was not to be consoled. Again, I wish that a pineapple upside down cake would make his world feel better.
UMMMMMM,I can smell your wonderful warm cake.
I heard someone call June "Juneuary" yesterday. LOL!
Enjoy your Pineapple Upside down cake .
I hope the weather changes by next week end because I'm suppose to go white water rafting in the Sierras. Wetsuit weather in June,Crazy
this has been my favorite cake since i can ever remember. my mom made it for my birthday every year and once she passed away my sister took over. i still have this every year. such a treat! and i like the box and homemade.
Nothing warms my heart like pineapple upside down cake. My mom made one for me every year for my birthday since I was about 12. When I turned 40 she said she was done making them for me and that my daughter should pick up where she left off. So now we make it together for my birthday and my daughter's. She is 13 and loves this tradition. The best cakes are made in grammy's cast iron skillet and I "double the goo" (extra butter and brown sugar for the topping).
I'm in the Bay Area and I am sick of this weather. I drove down a street today and there were so many leaves in the street that it felt like October! I love pineapple upside down cake too. What a cozy thing to do on a dreary day!
