Piano Lessons in or Around Downtown, Los Angeles

Does anyone have any idea where I can give my two daughters ages 5 & 6 piano lessons? I don't have a piano although I'm thinking of getting a keyboard for now. All I've been finding are piano teachers who will only go to your house to give the lessons but since I don't own one, I need to find a school where the girls can take the lessons in a group with the piano already provided. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

What can I do next?

Hi B.,

I read an article and saw something on tv about the Silver Lake Conservatory of Music which is not far from you, it's on Sunset Blvd. It sounds like a great place and has some good reviews. Had I lived in that area I would have taken my daughter there for guitar lessons.
Website is www.silverlakeconservatory.com

Good luck,

someone already suggest colburn. my other suggestion would be at LACC. They're priced well and I went as a child and loved going to a 'college campus'!!! Good luck!

not sure if they still do it, but USC used to teach music lessons for children on their campus.

Most larger music stores have group programs for small kids. I don't know the music store in L.A. but you can look in the phone book. Look for a Yamaha program is possible. Of course you'd be welcome to come to Waltrip's Music Center in Arcadia, where I teach music (I don't teach piano - only strings,) but it would be about a 40 to 45 minute drive on a Saturday for you.

Hi B.,

Have one in Burbank, don't know if it's too far to go. She's a retired teacher. Her name is Willow Adrus. She's absolutely wonderful and really a good price. As in affordable!
Her number is ###-###-####

She teaches my daughter Maddy, who's has been going for the last few years. She also has a small recital at her church a couples of times a year for the kids who range from about 5 to 17.
