I have question I'm helping a lady that has a pet stain on her carpet,I took my shampooer over and pet order and stain removal stuff but the stain is still there.Does any one know what would take the stain out?
Try Tuff Stuff - I find it at Atwood's in the car cleaning section - it's marketed for car upholstery and carpet but works great on interior carpet stains.
Spot shot works wonderful. You can buy it at Wal-Mart for a under $5. It took dark green paint out of my carpet and grease stains. My mil uses it on pet stains when she was training her new puppy and they come right up. There were a few times when she didn't discover the stains until they were dried and it still took them up.
Vinegar is best for removing the scent and the stain.
We have had luck with something from the Harriet Carter catalog called "White Wizard." It looks like Crisco, but it's amazing. It took out a year old apple juice stain from my white carpet. We use it on pet stains, but beware that pet stains can bleach out the carpet spot because of the enzymes. We were sometimes left with a lighter spot, which I still think is better than a pet stain. I have used 409 Cleaner with Lemon. It might work.
J.,try oxyclean powder put it on the stain and scrub it or something they call Orange cleaner it has a strong odor or orange they sell it at wal mart & dollar stors.it works for me.good luck.
I have had some luck with Spot Shot. You just spray it on and then blot it up. We usually follow up with a steam cleaner, just in case, but it's done wonders for us. It even got some paint stains out of our carpet.

We go through pet stains in our house from 2 little dachsies so we have tried it all as well. We got away from chemical cleaners and now using safer products that actually work. You might also check the pet store. They have products specifically for pet stains.
I know this will sound little out of the ordinary, but gun cleaner. My mom told me about it and I thought she was crazy.
I have a jack russell that got sick on my white carpet. I will take a couple of treatments, and use a little at a time. I would not saturate it as we do with other cleaners. Dab and repeat it again. It did not leave me carpet smelling or feeling like cleaner, but I did run over it with the shampoo cleaner just for the extra clean feeling.
