I used a natural product call Sol u Mel and is from Melaleuca. It works wonders.
According to the ladies who clean houses in England... regular WHITE VINEGAR. Inject it into the pad.... let it sit for 5 minutes...then "mop up" and clean as quickly as you can. (Steam clean).
But, I've had WONDERFUL results with Oxyclean pet stain and odor removal. My dad swears by "OUT!" both are available at Target.
I keep a bottle of vinegar/water mix on hand for just about all of my cleaning. I understand that vinegar also works as a disinfectant. It works great. Also baking soda is good for getting rid of odors. There's really no reason to spend a lot of money on chemicals. Hope this helps! God bless!
Baking soda works very well in absorbing pet urine odors. I had this cat from outside come in at one time and he went on our leather couch. It stunk up the entire house. After trying almost every cleaner, I had no luck. So I sprinkled baking soda on where the cat went, left it there for a few days (you could probably do less), then opened up a big box of baking soda and left it sitting in the room. The stench cleared and no more odors. Good luck.
