So i'm on my second cycle after having my daughter in August... i started Nov first time and also started my BC(Ocella, which is what i was on before i was pregnant) and i started the pill the sunday after i started... well this time when i started in Dec i started the pill the first day of my cycle like it says is another option to do... its been 12 days and i still have light bleeding going on... i've NEVER had a cycle longer than like 7 days... has anyone else experienced this? I left a VM for my dr today... I dont have any pain, just the light bleeding that will seem to go away and then not so much!

What can I do next?

After having my daughter, I went back on BC pills and I had light bleeding throughout the month for about 3 months. After that, I was back to normal...it just took some time for my body to get use to the bc pills again. My dr said that this is normal for some women.

After my third son, I had light bleeding for what seemed like forever! (I started back on the pill as soon as I left the hospital) It would last a couple of weeks, stop, then start up again. It took a few months to get back on track, but eventually everything worked back into normalcy. I think as long as this is not heavy bleeding, you should be fine, and just need to give your body a few months to figure things out again. Good luck, and hope this serves as some kind of reassurance.

I was not on BC after the birth of my children because of nursing but for about two years after giving birth to both of my children my period was very long(approx 2 weeks +) and very heavy. After that everything went back to normal. Ask your doctor if it is normal. Good luck.

I've had a similar problem since I had my second son. I just called my OB/Gyn and they changed my pill to one with a higher dosage. Seems to be working so far.
