Pediatrician in Irvine or Newport Beach

I have used Newport Children's Medical center for years. I love Dr. Stephanie Vann. They have 2 locations. One is by Hoag Hospital (great place) and the other is next to Fashion Island.

If you have St. Joseph's Medical, Dr.
Anna Chavez and Dr. Grady Huckaby are amazing! They are at Doctors of Children and Teens in Irvine.

Dr. Bob Sears in Capistrano beach - worth the drive.

They both are more open to holistic approaches and advocate breastfeeding.

Hi have to recommend Coastal Kids in Newport Beach. We see Dr. Leila Iravani and she is wonderful. She takes the time to answer all of your questions and is very understanding about all the new mom concerns. I have also heard good things about all of the other pediatricians in this practice. I recommend Irvine Pediatrics. They are off Sand Canyon and 405 just North of the Kaiser Hospital. I've been extremely pleased with them. They listen and accommodate everyone. We adopted a baby at birth and had to go the doctors when he was 3 days old as we were instructed by the hospital. I called on a Monday Morning, and they took me in the same day as a new patient. The Doctors are all women who have families so they understand our needs and will answer our questions. They also have walk in hours for sick children every morning. As well as a sick and well entrance!

We have used Dr. Maureen Downes and her team of doctors at Irvine Pediatrics for all of our children and they are wonderful. They are located in the Irvine Medical Building on Sand Canyon. One of my favorite features of their office is that they have walk-in hours every morning from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. for sick children. There is nothing worse than having a sick child and having to wait for the doctor's office to open at 9:00 a.m. to try to schedule an appointment.

I am VERY happy with our pediatrician - Dr. Bradford Curtis with Bristol Park Medical Group in Irvine (Barranca and Jeffery basically). His office often has a bit of a wait, but I love that he is quick to explain illnesses to me and answers questions fabulously. My kids love him, even my super-shy two year old. He never bullies me into doing what I don't want to do (like giving my kids the flu vaccine) even though he makes it clear that he thinks they should get it. I always feel like we are a team trying to keep my children well. He never talks down to me and I always leave with a feeling like, "I'm the best mom to the best kids ever." He's great.

I love our pediatrician. Although he's a little farther away. He's in Laguna Niguel. Dr. Aldon Clark. He and his son (Eric) are the only Dr.'s in the private practice. Aldon has been a pediatrician for i would guess 40 years. He's even seeing the kids of his first patients!
He listens, answers questions with clarity and doesn't freak out about things that newer Dr.'s may jump the gun on for no reason. We have bluecross HMO and he takes our insurance. We love love him! A.-mom to 3 under 4!

I am a first time mom but the step mom to 3 older children. I recommend the Harbor Pediatric Group. We've seen Dr.'s Chen and Todd. I took my step kids to Newport Pediatric Group on Avocado and while the dr.'s are nice the practice is so big that even with an appointment we'd have to wait sometimes up to 30 minutes. Harbor is much better and I have never felt rushed or silly about any first time parent questions.

Hi, I'm not sure if you're looking for a more traditional pediatrician or a more holistic one, but I see Dr. Pamela Middleton, a holistic/natural pediatrician. She is located at 1501 Westcliff Dr., Ste. 260 in NB and her number is ###-###-####. I have been very happy and since her practice is on the newer side and growing, I never have to wait! If you're looking for more traditional, one of my friends goes to Newport Family Medicine. I'm not sure which dr., but there are lots there and they are located at the 360 San Miguel bldg at Fashion Island. Number is ###-###-####. I just can't speak from personal experience on them. Hi D.- Coastal Kids in Newport Beach (near Fashion Island) is a great pediatricians office- with many doctors to choose from. Dr. Abelowitz started the practice and brings much knowledge and experience- but I would reccomend Dr. Leila Iravani- phenomenal caring bedside manner, patient, very smart, and sooooooooo great with the little girls. They offer late night appointments and week ends until noon (on Sat. AND Sun.!!) You can always get a same day appointment because they block the mornings off for same day stuff- knowing kids get sick often. Hope that helps!

I have five kids and take them all to that practice. There are other great doctors in the same practice as well.

I have an awesome doctor in Irvine. She was recommended to me by my best friend who is a labor and delivery nurse at Saint Joseph Hospital. Her name is Dr Ana Chavez and she is at Irvine Doctors of Kids and Teens. Not only is Dr Chavez fabulous, so are the other doctors in the office as well as the staff. Any time I have gone in there, I have gotten great treatment and had all of my questions answered. The office is quite a drive for me since I am in Orange and they are in Irvine (on Barranca and Culver), but it is well worth it. Email me if you need the phone number.

I lucked out when picking out my children's pediatrician. I asked my OB to refer me to doctors in my area (Irvine) when I was pregnant with my first child and one of them happened to be Irvine Pediatrics (other mothers have mentioned this office). I've been taking my children to see Dr. Mary Anne Galang-Lomboy since my oldest was a few months old. She's really great with the children and is very happy to answer any questions that I have. And I usually have a few! I highly recommend her. I've also seen other doctors in that center and have been pleased with the experience. The staff is also great, too.

I take my son to Irvine pediatrics, they are a group of pediatricians who are also all moms. We see Dr. galang-lomboy there, but you can see any of the doc's if yours isn't there the day you need to be seen. They are fabulous doctors and they understand mother's concerns because they are mothers themselves. Their phone # is ###-###-####.

Here is the PERFECT Pediatrician for your needs... Dr. Bradford Curtis at Bristol Park Medical Group in Irvine off of E. Yale Loop. Dr. Curtis is AMAZING and he has been my Dr. with all four of my children from birth. I respect and love this man so much!! He is a father of 3 which helps so much because he understands all of our concerns and he is the best listener and is always there to help with any questions at any time. Expect to spend about 45 min. to an hour with him at your first visit, he truly loves knowing his patients!!

We use Dr. Galluccio and Dr. Tom as our general doc and our pediatrician (I have a two month old little girl); they are just amazing all around.

Welcome to Southern California. I have a great pediatrician for you. Her name is Dr. Stephanie Vann and she works with the Newport Children's Medical Group. They have three offices but I think she only works out of the two in Newport Beach. One office is located at 307 Placentia Avenue ###-###-#### and the other is at 1401 Avocado Street ###-###-####. I don't know the address of the third location since I never went to that office.

All of the doctors that treated my kids (daughter - age 9 and son - age 6) in this practice are wonderful and they will definitely accomodate same day sick appointments but not always with your preferred pediatrician. Dr Vann was always my favorite. She is very patient and listens to what you have to say and she also has a great way with the children.

Unfortunately we no longer go to her because of a change in our insurance.

Not that you don't have enough recommendations, but if you have to use Edinger Medical Group (in Fountain Valley mostly), I would highly recommend Dr. Valery Brouwer. Her office is pretty close to Newport Beach, it only takes me about 10 minutes to get to her office and I live right on the edge of NB. She LISTENS to ALL of your questions and puts your mind at ease by giving you great explanations and advice. I am a first time mom of a 11 month old with a diary allergy and she is a great doctor who doesn't take any chances, meaning that she doesn't just pass over issues as if they are not important.
