I'm hoping to find an excellant pedi dentist to bring my 4yr old daughter to. We live in Worcester County, so i was hoping to stay within a certain distance. Ex: Greenfield, Gardner, Leominster. She had a cavity that needed to be fixed, i brought her to my dentist who also sees my oldest daughter, shes 7. Shes a model patient, very good with cleanings & all other work. Anyhow, my 4yo pretty much freaked out, there was no reassurance on there part (not much) they did what they had to do just to get it done. Fine & dandy, but i dont need her tramatized for life here. Shes had a tough road since she was 1 1/2. She was diagnosed with Epilepsy, & has been in & out of the hosp. So if anyone knows of any great with kids dentists, please let me know! Thanks girls!

I just took my 3 year old daughter to the dentist for the first time a few months ago, and because my daughter is afraid of everything I wanted to make sure I went to a very kid friendly place. I found Wachusett Pediatric Dentistry on Whalon St in Fitchburg. Its in the professional buildings located next to McDonald's at the KMART plaza in Fitchburg. I will tell you they were AWESOME!!! Their office was decorated just for kids, they all talked in that "kid friendly" voice. They gave all their instruments fun names and described in detail to my daughter what they were going to do and why before they did it. I completely recommend them. Like I said my daughter is afraid of everything and when she left she asked when she could go back :O) Here is there website:

my daughter went for the 1st time (we all switched) to Dr. Verne Goldsher, in Athol, she had a huge cavity that need to be refilled. She had to get the novacaine and they did a small root canal filling since it was so deep...the kid never even whined! She's 6 and a huge baby and cries about everything, so I was happy. The office is right before McDonalds...Of course I can't find the number, but if you google it you'll get it...good luck!

We go to Dr. Blashke in Pepperell Ma. She and her staff are awesome!! ###-###-####. They have a room for the kids to play in, an aquarium and when you look through in to the hygentist area it looks like they are in the aquarium. They also have two seats that are in the Jungle room!! It is just great.

Hi L.! I went through this pretty recently too. When I was a child I had an AWESOME pediatric dentist, but he has retired. I searched a bunch for my son because at age 2 he needed some work done on a tooth that had a cavity when it came in. I live in Westmintser, but found a dentist in Auburn that has worked well with me. They have some toys and games in the lobby and the rooms have tvs above the beds, they let the kids pick out what to watch and such, that seems to help too! My son and I always "brush his monkey" out of his mouth (read the idea of saying animals were in his mouth in a magazine, thought it was silly but it works amazingly with my babe) and the dentist incorporated that into the treatment, then found a stuffed monkey for my son to take home to replace the one we removed. They also have all the treats and fun stuff the kids can pick through at the end. As for tramatizing her, they had me come back a second time because my son was so young and they do not want to do a procedure if they feel it will traumatize a child--those are there words to me. Our first visit they were running a bit late, but ended up being great with us and gave us coupons for free lunch at Papa Ginos. Overall I have been happy with them, though my son is not yet 3 so he has only been 3 times. I know there are reviews for the particular dentist on this site that some that didn't seem to be glowing, but that has not been my experience. One person said that they company was only out for money. I don't believe this to be true since the second visit we had, when they thought they were traumatizing my son they spent about 20 minutes with us and then didn't even charge me for the appointment because they didn't finish (no co-pay). Plus what business isn't out to make profit? All are, and I had a lot more issues with Dentists and money at Aspen dental, they literally stole money from me. His name is Bruce Fieldman, ####-###-####, google him and find many reviews of the business. Good luck, whereever you end up!!
