Ok, everyone saying I should take my daughter to a pediatric dentist for her fillings. Anyone know where there is a good one around the Blaine area?
I didn't take my daughter to a pediatric. I took her to the dentist that we just started with and she got her first tooth filled w/o any problems. He did really good an made sure she was comfortable. They gave her nitrous and head phones so that she couldn't hear the drilling. She doesn't even mind going back to get the other two filled. When she was done she got a sticker and a toy.
Why do you need to go to a pediatric dentist? Does your child have bad teeth or problems going to the dentist?
I took my 15 month old daughter to a see a pediatric dentist in Coon Rapids and they were wonderful with her. It's Riverdale Pediatric Dentistry ###-###-####) and their website has all their information (www.cavitypatrol.com). The best part, they are open on Saturday's!
I definitely recommend Pediatric Denistry (www.cavitypatrol.com) in Coon Rapids (intersection of 242 & Round Lake Blvd, right by Home Depot). They are WONDERFUL there. I know plenty of adults who wouldn't mind going to an office like that if they had one for adults. It is very kid oriented, and their bedside manner is the best. Good luck!!
Our dentist isn't a true peds dentist, but she's great with kids. My little guy loves her, and I like the fact that we all go to the same place so our son has had a chance to adjust to the scene before he actually needs real work done. Her name is Michelle Bebeau and she's in the strip mall on the southeast side of 242 and 65 (I know, a horrible location right now, but I think she's worth it!)

I'm with Tammy...I love Dr. Baylon! The kids call him Dr. Rick, and what I love is that he sees kids on Thursdays, while his wife (Dr. Christine Baylon) sees adults the rest of the week. I think the arrangement is for their kids, but I'm not positive. Anyway, a friend recommended them, and since then there has been quite a group within our MOMS Club who have started going there. (In fact, one still takes her kids there and pays out of pocket even though her insurance doesn't cover them anymore!) They are in the Raintree office center right near Tasty Pizza (across from Blainebrook bowl).
I just went to one up by 242, it was our first visit. My son is 22 mos. I thought they were pretty good. They were Dr S Baylon and Associates (its in the business centers area...they can probably give you better exact location than I can describe). The number is ###-###-####. It was our first visit and I thought they were really good. They seemed very good with the children. I think there are more than just pediatriac dentist there. I think they told me the dentist that works with the young children is in on Thursdays and likes to see the Kids in the Morning, but they can give you better details than I can.
Awesome dentists in Coon Rapids. They are next door to the Old Country Buffet and Home Depot out in all the Riverdale shopping. I can't think of their names or find their card right now....but that is where we go and they are awesome. Riverdale Pediatric Denistry maybe?
