250-650 with an avg of 450 a week is what I have seen - prices increase based on how fluency, whether they drive and experience.
I am looking into hiring a nanny + househelper starting August 1st. What are people out there paying their nannies + househelpers? Are they paid on a hourly basis or weekly basis based on a 40 hour week? Also, if you know of someone great who will be available by August let me know. We live in 75225 zip code.

Hello, I'm C., and I was a nanny for about 5 years for four children between the ages of 3 months and 3 years old. When I was a nanny, I started out at $400 a week, by the time I was done working for the family, I was making $400 per week for 3 weeks out of the month and $750 for one of the weeks for the month. It was a great job, and I still keep in touch with the children. I'm not sure if you are looking for someone right now, but if you are, I recently got laid off, and looking for work. I would obviously keep in consideration your particular needs compared to what I used to do. Let me know, I have reputable references. Good luck!!
I am a nanny. I have cared for these 3 wonderful children since the youngest was 8 weeks. She is now 5 so my last day is Aug.15/2014. I love these children like they were my own. I make $350/ week...I care for them...play games...discipline when needed. That does not mean hitting. I do not believe in that. I also do the floors..laundry...dishes..vacuum...pick them up at school. We go to the park...the pool and to pick up the odd treat here and there. I find that I am under paid. I am on Care.com...but my mom is not well so I need to go home. I have never been compensated for gas or given a raise. He used to dock my pay if I was I'll and missed a day. I had told him that they do not give me any sick days...personal days...nor paid holidays if I want to go away ...I have to take the same holidays they do but come in everyday and clean if I want my pay. So..be kind...give some paid sick days at least 3 and 3 personal days...and 2 weeks paid per year. Make their pay based on what is required of them and add on for a couple bucks of gas a week if they use their own vehicle. It isn't easy being a Nanny...if both my employers...he hates me...but she loves everything I do for them. Nannies need to remember...They are there not just for the children but to make life easier for mom and dad. They are tired after working a long day...be sure kids are settled and the work is done. Your nanny should love her job with the family...it is not just a pay check...but it helps.
Nannies make between $10-15+ hour based primarily on their experience. If you add housekeeping, you should pay at least $15/hr. but maybe more. This assumes the nanny/housekeeper is legal to work in the U.S. If you find someone on your own, I recommend doing a background check. I own Mom's Best Friend and would be happy to help you with that if you find a nanny on your own. I would love to help you with your search if you decide to go the route of an agency. Feel free to email me with any questions you may. Our website is www.momsbestfriend.com and my email is ____@____.com
Good luck to you on your search!
