Sounds like you are thinking of making this a business for yourself and looking here for feedback.
There are companies that do this.
I am sure it is handy and convenient for parents.
Have you ever or would you pay for a company that does a party in a box type thing? For instance if you want a princess party the company would bring all the stuff for dress up, some games, a craft, and maybe favors, cupcakes or cake. Once it was done the company comes & picks everything up & take it all away.Firefighter party, soldier party, unicorns, whatever...
Anyway, have you used a company like this & if so what did you like about it?
If not, would you consider it?
Any thoughts are welcome & appreciated - thanks much!!
Thanks for the input! A friend & I are thinking of doing this as a business but can't figure out if it is truly a viable business. We have researched the companies that currently provide these & there do not seem to be any in our area.
I think one of the issues is that neither of us would actually pay for this but we know there are people who do & will! We are both rather frugal (deal finders) and crafty so we prefer to do this kind of stuff ourselves.
Also, we've found prices ranging everywhere from $100 for basic party to $250+ for 45 minutes with a disney princess.
Anyway, thanks again...still gathering info :-)

yep i did it......for mermaids....
she came as a mermaid, told a story, did make up, games, and pics with the cake and she left.... pretty simple.
In college my daughter worked for a company that supplied several party formats. She would pick up the party stuff from the owner and deliver it to the party and then she stayed and ran the party. At the end she packed up and left and returned the party goods to the owner who would inventory, clean the goods, replace the disposables and repack it for the next party. They had several themes for girls, one for boys. Games and crafts were geared to the theme. She got a lot of good feedback and big tips from the parents who were usually very pleased with how the party went.
That sounds like a cool idea, but I probably wouldn't do it myself, as I like choosing my own things. Now, if your party in a box offered many different options for each of those things (and had online ordering), I'd be more inclined towards it.
Would you also decorate, do balloons, etc?
Yes, not looking cheap is a huge key! I could order all the stuff from Party City, but if I am paying a premium I'd really like it to look special.
My sister lives far away from me, but she threw me a baby shower in a box. Her "guests" (our cousins and aunts) sent the gifts to her and she packed them in a box with decorations and a disposable camera and instructed me to set it all up and take pics. It was cute and thoughtful. I probably wouldn't hire a company to do that, though, personally -- I prefer to pick out my own things and a lot of what other people think are good for a party (like crappy little plastic trinkets or overpriced prepackaged crafts) are not my taste or style.
If the price was right and it wasn't something chintzy or that I could do myself by going to party city, I'd call you in a heart beat!
I think quality is the key here. I just found this cute party in a box (not to the extent you were talking about) link on pinterest. the lady puts together everything for a "camping" party or a "soldier" party. So great. personalized stamped invitations, hand made favors, etc. That is what I am talking about all those special things that are high-end that I just don't have time to do, but love and appreciate.
I did this years ago for my daughter's tenth birthday. It was a Wizard of Oz Party. They provided everything including 2 women who ran the party. It was reasonably priced and I loved it. It was too long ago to remember the cost but I know that I never spent very much for her parties. One was at Chuck E. Cheese and this was perhaps 1/4 more than that.
Call around and ask various places.
