A great place I go for birthday party idea is Marhta Stweart.com and look under kids. She has the best ideas for themed parties and for both girls and boys. I always have the best luck with her.
We are having my son's b-day party at Cabela's (thanks to someone here for suggesting it!). We'll have a party room and cake, as well as some games to play, but I'm looking for some unique ideas (on our thrifty budget) for party favors. We'll have some girls as well as some boys coming to the party (ages will range from 5 to 7).

I do not know how soon the party will be and if you have time to wait for an order to ship but Smile Makers has some nice party favors in bulk for a good price. They have a lot of variety too. It is a division of the Staples stores.

I would like little rubber frogs, snakes, bugs, anything you would catch bugs with outside that kind of stuff.
Hi Ann,
We made soap that looked like water. It had a rubber ducky in it. We heated the craft soap, put coloring in it and put the duck on the soap while it was still liquid. Our favors were for a shower but I like Beth's idea with bugs and frogs and stuff but you could put them in soap. It would be so cute.
fishing worms....it may sound funny, but you could get them some of those rubber worms, they come in all different colors, and most come without hooks in them, so they could use them to fish, or just for toys.
Or you could give out gummy worms as a snack/treat/favor....hmmm....is the party fishing theme or hunting theme? Maybe give out camo hats? Look at the Dollar Stores in your area for anything with those themes!
