I've never had this happen but my best friend had. What I told her to do is get a massage from someone that specializes in pre and post pregnancy. It could be a build up of negative energy that just needs to be released.

I had a c-section 4 months ago with my son. I have had alot of pain since on my left side. My ob-gyn dosen't know anymore. I did have a hematoma after c-section but ultrasound shows it is gone but I have still have the pain. I have had 4 different opions on what this could be. It hurts so bad I can't lay on my stomach or where tight fitting clothes. Even the spray from the shower makes it hurt. I fianlly went to by family doctor who gave me a cortizone shop but ihasn't helped. Has anyone else had this problem??
Well we are still trying to figure out what is going on. I had a ct scan but it didn't show anything. I am meeting with a surgeon now to discuss exploritory surgery. Please keep any suggestions coming. Thanks for all the help and responses

I also had pain after my c-section. It would come and go and I didn't know what to think. At times I wondered if I could be pregnant again. My Ob-gyn said it can take a full year to completely heal after a c-section. My pain went away a little over a yr. My twins are now 15 months.
Has he checked you for ovarian cysts? I have that same kind of pain when I get them, and they had a heck of a time diagnosing it.
Hi M.!
I'm sorry your posting under these circumstances. Could it be Endometriosis maybe? Is it on the inside? Or the scar area? I have had Endometriosis for years, and it can cause significant pain. I'd keep pressing your dr. to check further into this. I hope all turns out well for you soon.

Hello,
I had 2 c-sections and with both of them I had pain on the left side. The most recent c-section (6 mos ago), I had a LOT of pain on the left side. My doctor said that's where the knot in my stitches were (on the inside) I had staples on the outside. It felt like a shooting, burning, pain that I couldn't necessarily pin point but it was on the left side of my scar. my pain went completely away around 3 months, but everybody is different. It could be that's what you're feeling. I'm still really sore where my incision is, if I press on my stomache there, and like I said it's been 6mos. If worse comes to worse, go to another doctor and get a second opinion. I've seen all kinds of crazy shows on tv where the doctors leave instruments, gauge, etc. inside the patients. Don't mean to scare ya, but I hope you not in pain much longer.
I would definatly go find out what is wrong with you! dont let the doctors tell you that they dont know whats wrong.tell them you want a doctor who knows, and dont leave their office tell they can figure it out! IT has to be something, because i had a C-section and I was better whithin a week and 1/2!!
I had 2 c-sections the last one in Jan 05 and it seems like finally in the last six months the funny twinges of aches and pains are finally going away. I guess it can be pretty common to still get aches and pains for awhile afterward and that may be why the docs aren't taking you seriously. But if you think there is something wrong hound them til they do something. You're the one who knows your body and if something is not right you'll be the first one to know. Take Care
I didn't. I had a c-section. But I'd get the doctors to figure out what it is. Depending on where it is, could it be some thing funny from how you're holding your baby while nursing? Abdominal pain is nothing to mess around with, get it looked at thoroughly.
I have had 2 C sections and My Scar is very tender, I touch it the wrong way and it hurts, I was not able to wear levis or tighter pants til my youngest was 18 Months, and I get spasms where my incision is! I Would go see another doctor if it is really bothering you that bad!
M.-
I had sharp pains after both my c-sections...my DR said it was the nerves growing back together..I had my pains any time I strained (sit ups, moving sideways, etc) they lasted about 6 months-a year!
keep a journal of when your pains occur, you may want to go see your OBGYN

Just a tip for all of you who had a c/s... there is a support group called ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) and the ladies are extremely knowledgeable, you are welcome to check us out! http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/ICAN-online/ I myself had 2 sections, the second time I got an infection and that caused me pain, but you know your body better than anyone, if something doesn't feel righ then I guarantee you it isn't, so don't give up till you figure out what it is. On another note, I just had baby #3 8 weeks ago, a very successful VBAC at home even!
wow, I have had 8 c-sections and have not experienced that kind of pain. I have had a lot of itch where it turns red and chafes (lanolin helped) but that was it. Unless you need antibiotics, I can only suggest hot compresses and gently massaging the area. Perhaps even a course of antibiotics, even if they don't see anything would be reassuring. (then if you're nursing, that might be a concern with thrush which is annoying but curable) All the best!
I know exactly what you are talking about! I had the exact same thing after my first section. I had a large hematoma on the right side(looking down). I do know that the pain was there and annoying whenever I took walks with baby and the above as you mentioned. I was older but in great shape . I was 32/33 and it lasted for 9-12 months after the section. But one day it just went away. So hang in there and try the Chineese method of increasing circulation there by speeding healing to that injured tissue area. Alternate between hot and cold damp washclothes over that area whenever you can! I know you are super busy. Also try REAL fresh cut pinapple. It has an enzyme that gets destroyed during the canning process. So fresh is necessary. It naturally reduces swelling so the pain is greatly lessened or gone quickly.
If I were you I would go see the ob you did your c-section. I use by ob for everything. Or go to the hospital E.R. were you delivered your son. That is what my ob said for me to do when I had problems after my c-section. That kind of pain is not normal from a c-section and needs to be checked out.
I had a c-section 3 years ago and am having another kid the same way any day now. My sister and acouple other friends have had one also. This pain doesn't sound normal. I had pain for atleast 6 months after but not that hurt me as bad as your pain seems to be. My sisters inter sticthes worked their way out, her body rejected them on one side of her c-section. I would go to another doctor because doctors are human too and can make mistakes. You need to go asap.
HI THERE,I am almost 7 months out and still have pain on the left side of my scar. It isn't quite as sensitive to the shower and ,but hurts at different times. I was told that it is probably scar tissue. I am 40 so...everything seems to be due to my age...(excuse for , they don't know)
Sorry, wish I could be more help.....Good luck. Keep us posted!
