Hey M., I don't know to much about the pageant but I a little information on which you may already have. My niece is in it this year so I can ask my sister more information and get back to you. Are you thinking about putting your girls in the Pageant?

I put my daughter in this pageant a few years ago, and I personally, do not recommend this group. They are not a prestigous as others, and are actually not national, but only in a few states. If you have a ton of money to invest, or have a bunch of investors, who are willing to pay lots of money, then your child MIGHT do well. If you want to put them in just for the experience with no hope of winning, then this is good practice. But the feeling we both got was unless you give them lots of money for this and that, you have little chance of winning. To me it was a very expensive lesson in pageantry. Sure she made friends but we can do that for free. I suggest you shop for a more reputable group. I am not angry because my child didn't win, I am angry that I had to invest so much money for so little. She got a ribbon and a trophy out of this, and we got $5000 or more in bills. So if you can find another pageant to participate in, I suggest you do that instead.

My daughter was in a National American Miss Pageant in 2005 when she was 14. She had fun. The going around and asking for sponsors was hard for her but did teach her alot and helped her gain confidence. I did require her to write thank-you notes. The trip as a whole was fun for both of us. It was a pricey adventure though. She hasn't wanted to do it again.
