Out of Network/ in Network Dentist

We finally have dental insurance..yay! But, finding one that I think I would like that is also in-network has proved to be very difficult. However, I read on one of the dental websites that dental insurance is different than medical because there is little to no difference between out-of-network and in-network. Is this true? If so, that would make my hunt so much easier!

Mine is 2 free cleanings a year,$50.00 deductible 90% paid by insurance using a PPO,if I were to use a Preimier PPO it would cover 80% after deductible the only difference between the two is the percentage of my out of pocket. All plans require an understanding on your own policy there are no 2 policies alike.Call the customer service with providers you would like to see ask tem if they are an in-network provider if so great if not you may still be able to see them but less will be covered

It depends on the policy. Get ahold of your policy and check out the payments for in-network vs out of network.

My dental insurance is DRASTICALLY different for in vs out of network. My in-network is 2 free cleanings per year and a $25 co pay on fillings. Everything else I pay 10%.

Out of network I pay 50% of all charges.

But - you would have to read the breakdown. your HR dept should have the plan specifics.

Good Luck.

You have to call your dental insurance company, and ask for THEIR list of Providers.
It varies.
And per the rules and processes.

Depends on your coverage. Call your provider and ask. Isn't it in the paperwork? It should be.
