One of Those Days... - West Louisville,KY

I've been having one of those days where you cannot get motivated to clean or cook or do anything productive. Ever since my youngest was very sick last week, the house has been a mess. I've picked up here and there, did dishes, and some laundry. But basically that is all. Why can't I get with the program? There before she got sick I was running, tanning, cleaning the house spotless almost, going to school, and taking care of my kids. Since last week (spring break) I've been lazy. I'll just sit and stare at the mess wishing I had a magical wand. I stopped tanning and running and feel disgusting. I don't even eat alot but am still at my heaviest. WHATS MY DEAL? Pure laziness and no motivation month? Ugh..does anyone else feel this way?

What can I do next?

Yep, I go in spurts when it comes to energy and getting things done. Yesterday was one of my superwoman days. I painted 2 rooms, did laundry, and cleaned house the whole day. I haven't had a day like that in a long time. What works when I get my lazy days is to do three small jobs during the day. Maybe clean up some clutter, take out the trash or do the laundry--take baby steps, don't do anything major. It's tough managing a family and keeping up the house!

Gee, you've picked up, done dishes and some laundry. Give yourself a pat on the back and have a cup of coffee.

yes, in fact, I just had a wierd peptalk with myself. I created a super motivated alter-ego Think Beyonce = Sasha Fierce, Nikki Menaj = Roman, Lady Gaga = whoever that wierd Italien guy she pretends to be. They all say they have this alter ego because it can do and say things they can't.

So, I just created Nadya. Nadya is everything I'm not. She is organized, motivated, athletic, and fun. She doesn't drink alcohol, and wakes up at the crack of dawn, never ever oversleeping. She's sweet and supportive and prepares all her mans meals, and has his clothes laid out for him for work. she is the ideal employee that never plays on Mampedia at work and is a super salesperson with great followup skills. Nadya works supup to sundown on work, home, kids, cooking, and cleaning, yet is hot and ready for her man in the bedroom at night.

It's called divine intervention.
You were too much on the go, go, go so life intervened.
Give yourself a break & take it easy.
Sounds like you could use it because you were so busy and you were taking care of your sick little one.
Take some down time & enjoy it.
Relax. Let the little things go for another day or so then you will get right back on track w/your exercise.
It happens.
It's a built-in stopping point.
You'll pick up where you left off.
Take it one thing at a time.
You'll back into your groove!
Don't beat yourself up over it!

I recommend www.flylady.net. Check out her website, getting started, baby steps, and connect with us. She teaches you how to just hit things for 15 minutes at a time, set up a routine so things look decent, and it just gets you motivated. Good luck!

Start small! Make a list of 2 or 3 things you want to accomplish. Or, set a timer (like 15 minutes) and see what you can do in that time. That helps me out of my funk!
