Does anyone know who buys the old old old projection tvs? I tried putting it on CL for $200 and no one wanted it. I have two I'm need to sell and can't find any companies that will buy it even for a small price.

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for your ideas! I'll believe we have decided to donate one to a children's home and the other to a women's shelter.

if they are old and working - you might be able to sell them for $50 - not $200.

Try a garage sale and lowering the price. Sorry - but it's "old technology" and if I can get a 52" for $400 from Wal-mart - I won't pay $200 for an old one....

find a collector of old technology...that's another option.

if you can't sell them - donate them. Get the tax write off and donate them and claim the $200.

I was going to say exactly what Cherly O did in the regard that you may be better off donating and getting the tax write off.
Think camps and afterschool programs:)

My mom and dad recently moved and had a garage sale which included one of these. Started at $100, went to $50, went to FREE and eventually ended up taking it to Goodwill. Good Luck!

There just isn't a market for them... sorry... people won't pay $200 for old (and large) technology when they can spend $400 for a new small TV.

Try Austin Street Centre - http://www.austinstreet.org/ or Genesis - http://www.genesisshelter.org/
$200 is definitely overpriced. You can buy an ipod for that amount or a 20 inch flat screen for $200.

Consider donating them to a shelter, a daycare, a church, a group home or put them on craigslist for FREE.
Televisions are throwaway technology.
Might as well bless someone else with them--someone/someplace that could appreciate them as a gift.

Superior Computer Recycling here in Denton will pay you for all old electronics, not much, but better than nothing.
