I work in an elementary school and my grade level has decided that we are going to have a gift exchange. We have a $20 limit and we don't know who on the grade level we are buying for. I was wondering if any of you ladies had any ideas of what I could get. We have decided no gift cards and one of them is jewish so nothing Christmas related. Thank you!

What can I do next?

I did a "bag o' chocolate" for an office gift one year. I bought flavored chocolae bars, truffles, hot chocolate mix, chocolate wine, etc.

$20 is pretty wide open for choices. The worst that can happen is they can "regift" in a white elephant if they don't like what they get.
Bed Bath and Beyond has tons of things in that range, all sorts of kitchen gadgets, candles, assorted towels, bathroom items, spa like things for relaxation, microwave heat bags.
Maybe an assortment of items, organizers, office type things.
Mugs with hot chocolate, teas, coffees, popouri.
Maybe a cheese board, salsa's, jellies, gift pack from a favorite barbecue restaurant for their different sauces.
A nice Recipe Book or a coffe table book from your local area.
Go to a Gourmet kitchen store, Harry and David, World Market.
Nice picture frames are great gifts for home or office. Kohl's or Tuesday Morning have lot's of choices.
Photo Albums.

so can it be winter related then? there are many festive things out tere that don't say christmas on them. i prefer snowmen myself. go to ross, tjmaxx or marshalls and look in their home decor section and there will be many different christmas items to chose from that are neat and fun. or try kirklands..they always have something fun.

Festive seasonal place card holders and nice cocktail napkins (you can get some really funny ones these days)
Handtowels or dishtowels
Appetizer plates or other party item (crate and barrel or Ike great for this)
Spatula set and silicone oven glove in festive red color

Lotion, scented hand sanitizer, chips and dip tray, candy dish, candle. $20 is a good limit, so you could browse at any store and find something good.

How about a fleece type blanket with one of your local pro sports teams on it? I like the idea of the microwave scented bead/rice neck pillow. I just bought a scent diffuser from target...who wouldn't like that in their house? How much are the popcorn poppers you hand crank on the stove? I love mine and use it ALL the time. I just bought a few people some aloe infused slipper socks and an (awesome) tube of cashmere and silk hand cream from Bath and Body Works. You can get some nice stuff for $20. Hope you get something good as a gift, too!
