hi.. i'm not a schedule nazi but how do other mommy's handle it when their baby sleeps thru a bottle or a meal? Today Gabby didn't take a nap until after her 12 pm bottle, lunch would have been at 1pm. I know this isn't going to be the last time she does this so i'm wondering what next? wait for the next bottle? or get her a late lunch.
Ps- she drinks 28 ozs of formula a day and eats 3 meals a day on top of this - roughly 4 to 8 ozs per meal

What can I do next?

I would just stick as closely to the schedule as you can, while allowing for the unexpected deviations from it. You know when she's hungry, tired, etc.
As for the "schedule nazi" thing---be O.! EVERYONE in our house is a lot happier when there is a schedule! :-) Good luck!

I AM a schedule Nazi and can't stand when people interfere with my kids' routines. It drives me batty.
Its bound to happen, as your daughter gets older, that her sleeping and eating habits will change. I'm assuming that she's 7 months old now. I remember my kids' patterns changing between 6 and 9 months the first time. Is she sleeping fewer hours total? It may just be time for a schedule shuffle.
But, if she's not ready for a change, simply skip or increase her food for her next meal. She'll eat and drink what she wants, just make sure extra is available should she desire it. Make sure you keep your bedtime the same though cause you don't want today's malfunction running over into tomorrow. That is absolutely NO fun whatsoever.
Have fun!
K.

I think your daughter is too young to be put on a schedule. She will let you know when she is hungry. When she does, feed her. When she is older, say around 18 months or so, then you can start placing her on a schedule. But your daughter isn't even a year old yet. She needs to eat more than three times a day.

Yes, I'd say the definition of a Schedule Nazi is someone who would wake a baby for a bottle (LOL)! Let Gabby sleep; she needs it (and you need this time as well, to sleep, brush your hair, and anything else that gets neglected with a baby!). It won't be the last, and soon you'll be wishing she WOULD take a nap! :) So lunch is an hour late--did anyone die? No? Then you're doing OK. Relax and enjoy her.

You could try to offer her lunch with her bottle. As babies get older they tend to naturally progress to drinking with their meals. Do what you think is right for her...you know best!!! Good luck :)
