Dr Kelli Watkins at Presby Plano. Go to www.farrowandwatkins.com She was highly recommended to me by other health care workers and I haven't been disappointed.
I'm new to the area & looking for an OBGYN in Presby Plano! My daughter goes to a few doctors @ Presby, & we've been very impressed! Does anyone have any recommendations??
I went with Dr. Garner.. ABSOLUTELY love him! He was extremely laid back, easy going, but professional! I left feeling like I had met a new friend! rather than like..urgh..I just went to the obgyn! can't wait until next year.. haha..well, not really!! but it won't be as dreadful!

Dr. Katrina Walsh OB/GYN - she's GREAT!!! I've been going to her for 11+ years now and she's moved to Plano Presby.

Bryant Herzog - he delivered my first two babies and he is wonderful and very thorough - everything in house and if you have a baby it is a great hospital
AVOID Dr. Briant Herzog. He is more into making money and has just jumped on the cosmetic surgery train to earn the most he can. I had 3 miscarriages under his care, finally went to another opinion and he knew exactly what my problem had been. I am due next month. I am friends with a L/D nurse there and he prefers c-sections to save time for other procedures he had going, even just a Mavericks game. He has gone down hill in 5 years.
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Alvin Gebert. I have been going to him for over 13 years now. First he discovered a cancer that my previous ob/gyn overlooked. Then he helped me through endo (something that my past 2 dr's didn't consider), infertility and two complicated pregnancies (he takes a very conservative, proactive view on pregnancy). Just last year he did a hysterectomy and a total pelvic reconstruction on me and for the first time in 15 years I am pain free (I had endo in the walls of my uterus). I can't say enough good things about him. His office in building 2 and on the same floor as the women's wing (for deliveries and recovery) so he is right there!!
Good luck in your search!
Dr Garrett Garner is absolutely the BEST! A friend of mine works in the ER and recommended him since most of the ER nurses go to him. He delivered my 2 yr old and will be delivering my next in Dec. He is very funny and laid back but also keeps current and is well respected. I scheduled an appt just to "interview" him and loved him right away!
Good Luck!

I would stay far away from Dr Jennifer Campbell and her practice. She puts you on a time limit to give birth. She loves intervention. Once she decides she doesn't have time for you, her child has a soccer game, you interrrupted a holiday dinner, etc, you are done for. I had a planned vbac after 2 other vbacs going in to my care with her. However, a MONTH prior to my due date, she suddenly decided that she did not want to do vbacs anymore and scheduled a c-sect, against my will, 3 weeks prior to my due date. My husband and I both tried to convince her against it. She showed her true colors at this point, becoming nasty and angry. We were informed to have the c-sect on the date she scheduled for, or be left with no OB. We did not know at the time that what she was doing was illegal. Regrettably, under her angry strong arm forcing this on us, we did the c-sect. There were complications. She did not feel like following up. In fact, she did the forced c-sect knowing she was going out of town the very next day. She never told us this. I ended up having to go to a different doctor from a different practice to fix her mistakes. It has been a few years. I still cry over what she did to me. My little boy has some health issues that seem to be lingering on from being taken so early when he did not need to be. I would just stay away from Dr. Campbell unless you want to become victim to her vacation plans, or holiday plans, or whatever else it is that will get in the way of her bothering to do her job. Oh, and she never did her postpartum check up.
Dr. Garrett Garner at Northlake Ob-Gyn. I've seen him for 8 years now and he's the best. I don't even live in Plano any longer - I live in Dallas and make the drive because he's so terrific. I'm now going through my 3rd pregnancy with him as my doctor and he's amazing. My first daughter was premature and he's up to date on the latest research and did everything he could to make sure my 2nd daughter went to term (she did) and is now carefully monitoring me to make sure this pregnancy goes to term. I'm due the end of December. He loves delivering his patients babies. He does everything in his power to deliver your baby if you're his patient. I find that amazing considering he has 3 kids of his own.
If you do prefer a woman, I've heard good things about Dr. Campbell and Dr. Denning in the same office.
Dr. Eric Jacoby is incredible! His attention to detail is wonderful and he has an amazing bed side manner. His staff is awesome too! He deilvered my twins and he saw us very often since a twin pregancy is considered high risk. We never waited more than 5 minutes for him on any visit. You can't go wrong with Dr. Jacoby!
I see Dr. Christopher Riegal. He's great. His office is just around the corner from Presby Plano. He delivered our son 6 months ago. I was high risk and had not worries because he was involved at every appt. I delivered 6 wks early but at every appt. we got an ultrasound. It was awesome. He saw a specialist, Dr. Albert who was just as good and he was at Presby Plano as well. Good luck with your search. Oh, also, his office staff is wonderful. I love all the girls there.

Hi N.,
You've made a good choice in Plano Presbyterian. Before I had my baby, I did a lot of research to first pick the best hospital. I learned that Plano Presby had the best Neonatal ICU in the area and was also very well-known for its high-quality care (their nurses are great!). Plus, they have 100% private rooms, which meant that my HMO (which covers semi-private only, when available) would have to cover a private room. Their labor and delivery rooms (LDRs) are amazing, too...you'd think you were at home if it wasn't for the equipment!
That being said, Dr. Briant Herzog ###-###-####) was my choice of OB/GYN after a friend's referral and an interview. He is very laid back, patient and has a good sense of humor, which really helps when it's your first time (and you've had a miscarriage or two). I honestly can't imagine an OB having any other personality type than laid-back---especially with all of the anxiety a new mother might have in the middle of labor and delivery with their first baby...
Well, that's my two cents. As you can see, I'm very sold on both the hospital and Dr. Herzog and, as a result, have written a novel!
Good luck to you with wherever and whomever you choose!!

Dr. Edward Wells, he is amazing. I have a very difficult pregnancy with twins, bed rest, hospitalization and he was an amazing doctor and compassionate man. He is at Preby Plano.
I have been going to an OBGYN at Presby Plano for over seven or eight years now, and I absolutely love her! Her name is J. Campbell, and she's in Building 3 of Presby Plano on the first floor at Northlake OBGYN. I'm not sure she's taking new patients, but it never hurts to try. I don't have the number on me presently, but you can look it up online very easily. She's just been super with advice on any issues that you may be having, plus she is a great listener when you need her to be. She delivered my now 4-year old son, and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor! I had complications at delivery and needed an emergency C-section, and she handled it with nothing but expertise and made me feel very confident that everything was going to be fine. And it was! So I highly, highly recommend her! :)
Dr. Eric Jacoby - he is Wonderful
Eric Jacoby he is in the building behind Presby Plano so you won't have to deal with horrible parking!!

Dr. David Fong is wonderful! He took so much time with me. My husband enjoyed talking with him as well. He was comforting to me during a scary time....and he did an amazing job delivering my daughter....
Health Central Women's Care has several doctors that are wonderful, Dr. Chapman, Dr. Light & Dr. Tillman, I know personally.
Dr. Traci Nivens is great. She is in Presby of Plano
Dr. Campbell at North Lake OBGYN in Plano is fantastic. They are in one of the medical buildings @ Presby Plano Hospital.
I've seen others in her office as well and they are great too.

Dr. Briant Herzog----he delivered six of my eight children. The nurses go to him----and they KNOW who is the best doctor. He has the most incredible medical knowledge and his bedside manner is wonderful.
