I have lived in B/N for almost 3yrs. I have had the same OB/GYN since I moved here but I am becoming more and more leary about things. I am currently trying to find a new OB/GYN. Who do you see? Do you like them-why/why not? Where are they located?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I've decided to go with Dr. Dutta of Carle. Anyone see her or wanna add more comments about her? I see her in about a week and am actually looking forward to starting over.

Hi,
I go to Dr. Svientek, who also works in Dr. Weaver's office. She is really nice & gives good advice about whatever pregnancy problem I am having. Dr. Dameron, who also works in their office, actually delivered my first child because Dr. Svientek wasn't available, and she was great, too.

I love the office of Dr Sharon Weaver and her associates. My sisters and myself all see Dr Weaver and she has delivered all of our babies. Even when she was not on call she came in and was there for me at the delivery. The office staff is awesome and very caring and I loved seeing them at each one of my appointments.

I am excited for you to try again- good luck on having one at a time ;) I was so relieved when I saw my ultrasound with Olivia and there was only one in there!

I see Dr. Slotky with Slotky and Santiago- their office is in OSF but I delivered Olivia at Bromenn. He is old but he is good at what he does. I actually chose him because I had a friend who tore horribly with her first and heard that he is really good at delivering without tearing and her second delivery went really well. Olivia was 9lbs 13oz and I didn't have one stitch :) He was a little irritating during my delivery- just joking with everyone around me (I wasn't in a joking mood) but I would choose him again because I had almost no pain after delivery. Amazing. My other friend sees Santiago and loves him but I think he is too cute to be an OB/GYN- just strange to me, you know?

Anyway, good luck and keep me posted! Life has been busier than I expected lately but hopefully we can still get together sometime!

I will be 50 in February and have gone to Dr. Chow all of my life and he delivered all of my children (daughter now 31 and twin boys almost 30). He is nearing retirement I am sure and now I have seen both a nurse practioner in his office and another Doc he has working with him. For the most part I have been very happy with him, but knowing his age...you might want to find someone younger. In this day and age if I were starting over with an OB/GYN, I might seriously consider a female Doc. Good Luck...and enjoy B/N! It is a great place to raise children.

I go to Dr. Heather Dudley at Associates in Obstetrics and Gynecology on Stern Ave (behind Jim's Steak House). Very friendly , great bedside manner and knowledgeable. Can't say enough good things about her.
