I'm looking for a few good nursing bras. I've tried several different kinds and I haven't been happy with them. I'm looking for comfort and some major support as well!
Thanks

What can I do next?

Ditto on Bravado- they come in a few different styles and found that actually trying them on helped before buying. Their sizing is different than normal bras....Good luck and congrats!

Hi,
i actually went to walmart, and it cost me like maybe $8 or $9 2 years ago. And i still have them, they were pretty good for me! That's the only place i could find them as the last minute and cheap.

My friend sent me a 3 pack of Bally's Total Fitness simple sports bras with my second child and they were perfect for me. Not real confining like racerback sports bras but enough support and easy enough to just flip up for nursing. After breastfeeding they do nothing for your figure(no lift or separating) but I still use them for cleaning days or just vegging around the house. Hope this helps.

Hi R.--my shop, Miracles Maternity Boutique, in Gainesville, carries Bravado and LaLeche League nursing bras. We have a good stock of Bravado right now (prices range from $35-39) and my reorder of LaLeche League will be here soon (prices range from $17-27.50). We have some LLL bras in stock but the reorder with more colors/sizes would give you more options.
I LIVED in the Bravado bras when I was nursing--very comfortable--and they can be washed a million times and hold up. :)
Hope this helps!

I loved my Medela bras. I have heard awesome things about Bravodo too. I got my nursing tops at Target but only wore those at night.

The Madella Comfort Bra! I literally live in this bra and love it. You can find it at Baby Gap. The sizing seems to run small so size up. Good luck!

Hi R.! Believe it or not I found my nursing bras at Wal-Mart. They are set-up/look like a regular bra. Granted my breasts didn't change too much when I was breastfeeding but these worked great for me and the price was great too.

Motherhood Maternity is pretty good; I bought one at Walmart, and it fell apart.

I also agree that glamormom tank bras are fantastic!
...especially with summer coming! SImply wear it under your regular shirt or looks great matched up with a blouse!

Try the Bravado Designs bras too. They are manufactured in Canada and that's all I wore until I got some glamormom tanks.
Bravaddesigns.com They also come in great bright funky colors instead of boring white or cream. Spice it up a little!

R.,

This is a little unconventional, but with my 2nd daughter I used sports bras. They were cheaper than nursing bras and easier I thought. They were comfortable to sleep in because there was no underwire, and when she needed to eat, all I had to do was pull the bottom up over my breast and she was ready to eat, no hooking or unhooking, and when she was done all I had to do was pull down the bra and reposition myself. Very easy especailly the night feedings.

I hope this helps. All my best.

I use Medela and swear by them. They are the most supportive and best fit I have found. You can get them online at www.medela.com, Baby Gap or I know the Breast Education Center through ORMC carries them in their shop as well (don't have the number) but if you delivered at Winnie Palmer they would have given you information. Good luck.

I've had three kids, and to this day my favorite bras (I still wear them because they are comfortable, I've had mine since July 2004) are the $8 nursing bras from Wal Mart, they hang in baggies and the clasp is very easy to operate one handed with the squirming baby in the other. Good Luck.

There is this wonderful website "birthandbaby.com" that has all kinds of nursing bras and discriptions and how to choose. The shipping is $1 because they know that you often have to try a few. I loved the site.

Hi R.!
My friend donated some wonderful nursing bras to me - I believe they were from Mimi Maternity, which is at the mall. They are pricey, but they were the most comfortable things to wear - I hated having to go back to regular bras once I was done nursing! Good luck!

Hi R.! Try the Medela bras, if you haven't already. They were the most supportive. They tend to run small (or at least did for me), so be sure to try them on! I bought mine at the ORHS store across from ORHS and Winnie Palmer. You can call them to make an appt: ###-###-####.

Best of luck!
