ok i realize this id my 3rd child but my x never let me get nursing bras and the hubby has asked if i want them i would like to try them out but i get so annoyed trying on bras its not even funny, i only wear body by victoria from victoria secrets because those are the only ones that dont make me point or try to pull them to far apart, or spill over real bad or just over all hurt, idk if im just shaped wierd or what but those are it, and im afraid of not being able to find a comfy nursing bra that makes sure i still look good like the body ones do, and yes as aggervating as it is i have to wear underwire im a 38D measured by the girls at vs is there any chance of me finding a nursing bra that dont make me look like im point opposite directions, or look like a grandmas bra? and whats the story about underwire in the nursing bras. or am i just out of luck yes i have to try them on first which is a big part of the delema

What can I do next?

I just bought a couple of Bravado brand bras and they seem great! they had a few different styles so I was able to try them on and find the ones that fit me best.
Here is their website, which includes a store locator so you can see if they are sold anywhere near you: http://www.bravadodesigns.com/

I'm on my third child and nearing 10 years of constant nursing. I have been through so many nursing bras in that time! My favorite ones to this point are new by Bravado called the Allure http://www.bravadodesigns.com/shop/the-allure-underwire-n.... I am a 36DD (been a 38DD+) and these keep the girls looking amazing! They're not saggy. They're not granny bras. I can wear nice low cut shirts and v necks. I have always had underwire bras unless I had absolutely no choice at the moment and was desperate for one and I hated them as my breast seemed to hang to my belly button instead. It has never once caused me problems. If you're wearing the wrong size it can cause problems. Obviously you can't sleep in them. I have tried on thousands of nursing bras it seems over the years. Once I tried on every single style Motherhood Maternity & Pea in the Pod carried and left with nothing. The hospital by me has a nursing boutique so I was able to the Bravado on and was in shock that they acutally fit well and even looked good. I only bought 2 at the time as I was still concerned they'd give me problems after a while. I just ordered 3 more!
Sorry...got a little long and gushy..but..seriously..I am in love with these bras and I've hated everything I've had before now and only tollerated them because I had to.

I just got some wonderful nursing bras at Motherhood Maternity - two sports bra type for when I'm at home and not going anywhere, or when I'm exercising, and one underwire. I am a 42E, so I have a hard time finding bras that fit right and are comfortable. These were great!

Usually nursing bras don't have underwires because underwires can put pressure underneath your breasts and interfere with breastfeeding. It's unfortunate, and if I don't use underwire bras my breasts look kind of funny as well, but unfortunately that's what nursing bras do :(

They don't recommend underwire while nursing because of it causing blocked ducts. Bravado seamless bras are amazingly comfortable. I was a 34E, and they fit and support great. You may want to try out what and see how you like it before buying a whole mess of them. They do have other styles too.

Okay, I'm a DD pregnant, so I know what you mean about having them look like they're pointing in different directions! I actually have a bra from Motherhood I got years ago that does that.

I recommend trying them on at Motherhood, and ignore the sizes. They do seem to have improved their bras over the years. I think they run small, and the cotton ones do shrink. I would only buy 1 or 2 for now, and some sports bra types to wear around the house. I always go down (I'm a 38 now, but not pregnant I'm a 34!) less than a month after having the baby b/c the ribcage expands when your pregnant. The you can buy as you go. When you're busty, it's difficult to find a good fit so you just can't order online. You have to try them on.

Motherhood (the maternity clothing store) has several different styles of bras and they can fit you for a bra in the store. There may be other maternity stores that can do this as well. Hopefully, you can find something that works for you. The prices are reasonable, too. :) Good luck! Congratulations too! :)

check out www.birthandbaby.com and www.breakoutbras.com

I have a hard time finding my size (34 and up to an H while nursing!), and these sites have a lot of selection. Breakoutbras in particular has helpful comments about their bras and they both have good return policies.

I'm a 38DD and never wear underwire... hate them! I found some great nursing bras years ago, with my first baby. They lasted through three nursing babies. I actually went to a nursing store and was fitted by a professional! A little embarassing yes, but well worth it. The bras were not cheap, but high quality.

Do you have a Motherhood Maternity store near you? They have a great selection of lots of different types, and the sales ladies are often good at helping you find the right style and fit. Good luck.

Hi, I also wore BBV bras and for nursing I found the most flattering, supportive and functional was the Melinda G soft cup, snap front nursing bra. I bought them off EBay. Sometimes the snap front was a pain, but that bra gave me good support and shape. I hope you try one and like it as much as I did.
