Hi Mamas,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a nursery school program. I am looking for something in Los Altos, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Cupertino, or Sunnyvale. Thanks.

What can I do next?

What type of program are you looking for? All day, part, parent participation, child centered, structured? There are lots of great options, but it helps to clarify some of the big questions before you go looking at the options. Otherwise it can be overwhelming.

All four of my girls have gone or are still going to The Wonder Years. I absolutely love this school. The teachers take care and love our children as if they were their own. There are schools in San Carlos, Mountain View and Palo Alto. Definitely worth a visit!

We like Mountain View Parent Nursery School, MVPNS. It's a parent participation program and is accredited and really terrific. My son went there and now my daughter. There's an adult education piece to it so it really is helpful. Great community. Excellent teachers. The kids have a blast. If you want info look them up www.mvpns.org or you can email me - it's a small group. M. ____@____.com

If you have time to attend nursery school with your little one, I would highly recommend a parent participation program. These typically are parent education programs with preschool activities for your child. I attended Bright Beginnings in Sunnyvale with both my children (they are 17 and 9 now) and had enjoyed knowing their friends and their friends' families since I was in preschool with them, and I appreciate the support and parenting information I'd received from the parent education portion of the program. There are also Cupertino Co-op Nursery School (also in Sunnyvale), Parent Nursery School in Mountain View, and Los Altos Parent Preschool in Los Altos, Heffalump, Preschool Family, and Parent Nursery School in Palo Alto. I am sure there are others that I don't know about. Good luck! ~N.~

I've used Children's Creative Learning Center in Sunnyvale for the last 9 years and love it! The teachers are wonderful and the directors are great! They are located on Duane Ave between Lawrence and Fair Oaks. Good Luck!
