Okay...not sure how to ask this politely but .. what do you all do about post-sex residue??
Normally, my husband and I use condoms or he pulls out. While messy in some ways, everything is contained or cleanable. We have switched contraception and he no longer pulls out, so while not immediately messy, it still is kinda mess and I do not like the subsequent (next day) drip out. What do you all do?? Do you use a wash cloth? I am not a douche kinda gal....please advise.
Thanks! To summarize... most people wrote that they use the toilet, which also reduces potential infections and then use a pad or sleep on a towel.....some advised against using tampons or a douche to solve the issue. I mostly use pads.
Like most others said, I go to the bathroom immediately afterwards, and I'll sit there for a couple minutes and kind of push out/let gravity pull out what's lingering in there... LOL Then, I'll wipe up, usually use a wash cloth or a moist wipe, then use a pantiliner to catch anything remaining.
Panti-liner is the only way out. I'm glad you posted this, I thought I was the only one that had issue with post sex drainage.
When you have a hubby that is a huge ejaculator it is a problem.
I go to the bathroom right afterward. And...don't ever use douche!! It's terrible and causes infections!!
LOL! I use a towel and then go to the bathroom right after, but i have the same problem! I need to go buy some pantiliners-
Funny story - early in my relationship, my guy and i enjoyed some nice morning time and then he wanted to take me to breakfast, so I cleaned up got dressed and we went to eat. Sitting in the restaurant booth I croseed my legs and felt the innermost thigh part of my pants had a nice wet spot! Lovely thank god i had a sweater with me that day!
Do NOT use a tampon and do not douche! That's not very safe for this situation.
Urinate immediately after sex to avoid UTIs or other infections. If you have a shower with a hand-held sprayer, you can use that to 'hose down the undercarriage'.
i always pee after sex, with condom or not with condom while on birth control and i sit there for a lil bit and "push" everything out and i put a panty liner on the next day just to catch whatever is left
To avoid infections, you're really supposed to urinate before and after sex. Urinating afterwards allows for clean-up :)
I wipe well after, wear a panty liner to bed and the next day if needed.
clean up in the restroom afterwards..sit on the toilet for a few minutes. Not glamorous, but it works...
We just shower right away, lol. But I know what your talking about, I do the panty liner too!
We keep a roll of paper towels near our bed and use it for clean-up; then I use the bathroom right after that and put a pantyliner on before bed. Then shower the next morning. :-)
i feel ya! i find it to be extremly disgusting to feel like im wetting myself and soon as i stand up in the morning! i clean myself off with a towel and go sit on the toilet for a few minutes! douching is not healthy so dont do it! after that if im just going to bed then i just go to bed cause i know ill take a shower in the morning, if its morning or mid day and i can shower i do, if i cant shower for some reason i use a baby wipe and freshen myself up and change my panties
Go sit on the toilet and pee right after. And keep a towel next to your bed =)

If it last till the next day?! YOUZA!! :) I would wear a panti-liner then..
Towel for him, toilet time for me, then I wear a pad for a little while. I use mama cloth so I can just wash it and not cost me a ton just to have sex. It's nice that way :D
Keep a towel on the nightstand.
I quickly get some toilet paper and scoop the first bit out right away. Then I go to the bathroom as soon as I can and pee - getting even more out. Then if I feel icky still I'll wash and place a paper towel folded up in some panties until I feel it's been absorbed or gone.
Go pee immediately after unless you are trying to get pregnant. Do the duck walk to the toilet, pee and use the flushable wipes. Those things are great to make you feel more cleansed.

I have a box of baby wipes right next to the bed and then go pee. Hubs and I are both clean freaks.

I thought I was the only one who had 'next day (and beyond) residue. I thought I must just have a black hole that swallows it up and randomly spits it back out (or at the very least some sort of curve that created a pocket of sorts that held on and just refused to let it go). I pee, then I sleep with a hand towel between my legs, and, like others, I practically LIVE in pantyliners!
I do have a friend who uses tampons to soak up the extra. I guess if there's enough to last through the next day (like in my case) it might not be a horrible option. Maybe I'll try that.
