R.D.
I used to have constant acne and a couple of years ago I figured out it was due to some of the additives in the cleansers I was using (the medicated acne ones). I switched to just Cetaphil cream cleanser and their spf daily moisturizer and that made a huge difference. I used those during my first pregnancy. Since then I've also tried to eliminate parabens from the cosmetics I'm using, so I'm currently using Clinique. They have a lot more items (for dry, oily, etc.) so I think it's still worth a trip to the cosmetic counter. Usually if you tell them you only want a cleanser (or whatever) upfront they don't try to pressure you. Or at least you don't feel bad when you leave with one item. They also sell Clinique at Sephora, which has a slightly lower pressure sales staff, but they are helpful. One more thing about the Clinique -- I love their Moisture Surge moisturizer, but HATE their standard yellow (Dramatically Different?) moisturizer. So try them out in advance. And another recommendation -- make sure your make up isn't contributing to the problem either. I switched to bare minerals and found that to cause fewer acne problems as well. Good luck!
