hello - I'm looking for non-acnegenic makeup, cleaner and moisturizer. I'm an inpatient person so i really don't want to go to the store and spend an entire hour looking for those three things. and sometimes asking makeup ladies at macy's or dillard's involves their commission so they'll settle for what they want, not what the customer is asking for.
Any help?? or recommendations please... thanks. i'm pregnant and am suffering from acne and i just don't like it... but who does... :)

What can I do next?

I used to have constant acne and a couple of years ago I figured out it was due to some of the additives in the cleansers I was using (the medicated acne ones). I switched to just Cetaphil cream cleanser and their spf daily moisturizer and that made a huge difference. I used those during my first pregnancy. Since then I've also tried to eliminate parabens from the cosmetics I'm using, so I'm currently using Clinique. They have a lot more items (for dry, oily, etc.) so I think it's still worth a trip to the cosmetic counter. Usually if you tell them you only want a cleanser (or whatever) upfront they don't try to pressure you. Or at least you don't feel bad when you leave with one item. They also sell Clinique at Sephora, which has a slightly lower pressure sales staff, but they are helpful. One more thing about the Clinique -- I love their Moisture Surge moisturizer, but HATE their standard yellow (Dramatically Different?) moisturizer. So try them out in advance. And another recommendation -- make sure your make up isn't contributing to the problem either. I switched to bare minerals and found that to cause fewer acne problems as well. Good luck!

Zap it is a four step acne treatment that works like proactive without the harsh chemicals. The company that makes Zap it also makes other facial products like moisturizers, cleansers, toners, cosmetics, etc. I shop online for just about everything and have it delivered right to my door. If you have access to internet, I can show you how to do it yourself and even get everything at a discounted price. Let me know if I can help!

Hi E.,

As far as cleanser goes, I swear by Neutrogena Grapefruit scrub. I NEVER break out any more and the stuff smells wonderful. Walmart or ULTA have the best prices.

I use a Garnier Fructis moisturiser .. Anti Sun Damage with a SPF 28, doesn't clog pores. And the only make up I use is a loose powder by Clinique. I'm very PINK complected, so I use this yellow powder and it evens out the tone of my skin and is just wonderful all the way around, Clinique products are break-out prone skin friendly :)

Good luck!!

I just took my older son to a dermotologist and he recommends washing with Dove unscented soap. He really likes the whole line of Dove products. Also, for sunscreen for your face (in case you want to know), he recommends Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunscreen.
