My daughter is 3 1/2 and she has been potty trained since she was a little more than two. She used to do really good at night and not wet the bed and she would wake up and go potty and go back to bed. But now she wets the bed almost nightly. I have been putting her in pull-ups because I was sick of changing her bed everyday. But now I can't really afford to get pull-ups anymore. I want her back to potty trained at night. When she sleeps in underwear she wets the bed. I don't get mad but I know she knows that I am frustrated. I need advice! Thanks!

What can I do next?

Even though my son is potty trained at the age of 4 1/2 yrs old, he still wears a pull up at night. He doesn't wet the pull up at all. He wakes up at night and goes to the bathroom or he wont have anything to drink about
2 hrs before going to bed. She is still too young to not pee in the bed if she wears underwear. Store brand pull ups are cheaper to buy anyway... I buy whatever is on sale and they work fine for my son.

Night time dryness... is entirely different than day time pottying.

Night time dryness... does not occur, BIOLOGICALLY, even up until 7 years old.

Just get a waterproof bed pad, to put directly under her when she sleeps. This makes clean up much easier.
I have 4 of them that I got from Amazon.
My kids are 4 and 8...and I put these right under them.... (not under the fitted sheet), and so if they have an accident, it is no big deal. By putting the waterproof bed pads directly under my kids.... if they have an accident... the sheets don't even get wet or soiled. I just change it out and put another bed pad under them. And they go back to bed. No biggie.

Pull-ups for night time is useless, because it leaks, does not hold much and is expensive. I just use a night time diaper or a regular diaper for my son at nap and sleep times. AND change him 1 time during the night, otherwise by morning, his diaper is over flowing.
My son is 4.

A child will have accidents... day or night.
It is normal.
It is childhood.

Peeing at night, is INvoluntary. It is about the biological maturity of their organs.

Getting frustrated, will not make her dry at night.

My daughter, when she was 5 years old, was still wearing a night time diaper to bed and naps.
Normal.

AND even at 7 years old, she still had a pee accident at night every so often. She is a deep sleeper.

all the best,
Susan

It's very common that kids are dry all night MUCH later than they are day trained. It's a physiological thing--not a training issue.
Layer sheet/pad/sheet etc to make the changes easier.
This is not a hill to die on. She'll be night trained when her body is ready.

My daughter was potty trained by 26 months. She wet the bed, less and less frequently, until she was seven. There is no such thing as nighttime potty training. She will sleep dry when her body is ready. I wish there was a solution, as this I know this is a frustrating thing. Because I live in an apartment, laundry costs money, too, as well as time and work.

We haven't got to the night time training yet, however, as far as I know my niece was trained at night at 3 (close to 4). They made a sticker chart and if she could go two weeks without wetting the bed she could go to Chuck E Cheese. They said it worked. It may be worth a try but it sounds more like your going to have to wait it out.

A., you could try limiting liquids at a certain time in the evening and see if that helps. We put our daughter in the Gerber training pants and a diaper cover (the plastic ones), until she had gone a month without an accident. We also make using the restroom part of our night time routine.

Hope this helps! Good luck.

Chiropractors are great for helping little ones who have or have not been able to wake up dry. I have a son that had a bed wetting problem until he turned 13. It took one month of several adjustments a week, but he has never had a problem since. He is now 22

My son was day trained at 3 1/2. He was night trained at 7.
He was a very deep sleeper and would just sleep through needing to go to the bathroom. When he was dry every morning for 2 weeks in a row we finally quit the pull-ups.
Be sure to use a water proof mattress pad.
There are some cloth night training pants that might work for you if you can't keep using pull-ups:
