Newborn Care Book Recommendations

Hi Mamas! I am about to have my second baby and I was wondering if anyone had any book recommendations for sleep/calming etc. My first son was a horrible sleeper and I read a couple books about sleep, but nothing worked for him. It took him 14 months to sleep through the night. I only let him do minimal crying and I don't plan on letting my second son cry much either, especially since it might wake up my other son (who is now a fantastic sleeper). I know that my second son may turn out to be a better sleeper since siblings aren't always the same, but I would love to read a new book or two before he comes so that I can be prepared just in case. I bought a Miracle Blanket for this child so that swaddling might go more smoothly this time. I do plan on breastfeeding exclusively and he will sleep in a bassinet by my bed for the first couple of months before moving to his crib. Does anyone have any good book recommendations to go along with our style (breastfeeding, sleep in parent's room at first, minimal crying, swaddling)? Thanks in advance!

Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child

This book has the best information and was so helpful to me. It was recommended to me by some others mothers and I found it to be good because it explained everything in detail and then gave me the tools to be able to apply what was in the book. My babies are now 18 months and are both good sleepers. I hope you will check this book out. You won't be sorry.

Watch the video "The Happiest Baby on the Block". Normally I am a reader, but when it comes to learning something new, I need visuals. This video is geared towards soothing your baby, not necessarily sleeping through the night, but it works wonders. You can get it book form, but with a little one and another on the way, the video would be a whole lot less time consuming! These techniques helped my daughter nap when she had colic and seemed to want to cry for what felt like 24/7!
