New to Cedar Rapids & Need Doctors

We go to Mark Reinertson, DO at St. Luke's Pediatrics ###-###-####). He is absolutely wonderful. I worked in the hospital for awhile and had great interaction with him there as well. His office is also open 7 days a week! When our second son was born a few months ago, I asked Dr. Mark if he would be able to do the circumcision...he came in on his day off to do it!!! He is just a fabulous doctor who truly cares about his patients and is also wonderful about balancing parent's feelings and wishes in regards to health care for your child.

As far as an internist goes, I would reccomend Anne Voigts, MD at Internist P.C., she is an excellent physician! When I worked at the hospital I had to interact with the internists...a lot...and she is by far one of the best in the area!

We have had her since they were born!!! Another good Dr. in that office is Dr. Collins (if she is still there). We have seen her before and really like her as well!

Welcome to Cedar Rapids! I've lived here my entire life and you have landed in a wonderful place! :-)

My son is also 27 months old and my daughter is 11 weeks old. They both see Dr. Mark Reinertson at St. Luke's Pediatrics and we absolutely adore him and the entire office. They have the best hours, even open weekends and holidays, everyone is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and caring, and they are attached via sky-walk to the hospital so if your child does end up needing an x-ray (mine has asthma and occasionally does) then you don't have to bundle them up and drive somewhere else, you just walk over, get it done, and walk back!

We have seen numerous other doctors at the office when Dr. Reinertson wasn't in later in the evening or on weekends and have truly been impressed with all of them. They are thorough and attentive and we specifically like that Dr. Reinertson doesn't get caught up in numbers and graphs - he takes each child into account individually and caters to their specific needs. He also has an astounding memory because when we see him out and about he remembers our names, inquires about things we mentioned in the office, etc., and that is without his computer in front of him!

I take my 5 yo & my 18-mos old to Cedar Rapids Pediatrics which is right next to St Luke's Hospital. I love them there! I got tired of going to Mercy Family Practice because the doctors there just were on rotation until graduating. I hated having to have a new doc and having to familiarize them with my kids. If you can't find an internist right away you can use one of the urgent care clinics in the area. I always go to the MercyCare clinic on Council Street. Hfope this helps!
