Hello Moms. I am looking for small play groups and friends for my children and my family! My family (my husband and two boys ages 26 months and 5 years) recently moved to Allen, Texas from New Jersey because of a great opportunity for my husband's job. It has been very difficult leaving family and friends and now that the holiday madness is over and all the house guests have gone I am beginning to feel a little lonely. Our boys are very active and need constant attention and entertainment. I am looking to make friends for not only my boys but for our whole family. We are a very laid back family who just like to have fun with family and friends whether it be a weekend BBQ or a night out for dinner w/good company and good wine! Is anyone interested in meeting for play dates with the children and some mommy talk. Hope to hear from you Moms!

We moved from Chicago several years ago so I know how you feel about the feeling lonely part! It will pass......I highly recommend MOMS Club...Allen has three chapters! I eventually become president of Allen Southeast! Jump in and just get involved! Also AECPTA Allen Early Childhood PTA is another great group to join! You can do an internet search and find both numbers! I don't have them here. Go to MOMSclub.org for chapter info. I hope that helps....both will lead to playgroups, outings and friends! Have fun!

We are also fairly new to Allen. We moved here at the end of July and live in Star Creek (off Stacy, just West of I-75).
We have one 7-year old boy and enjoy BBQs and just hanging out with a bottle (or 10) of wine.
Our boys are different ages, but my son is good with younger kids. I am sure he would like to introduce your 5 year old to all sorts of Xbox strategies :)
