I have been using this spray woolite cleaner on the carpet when our new puppy gets away from us and pees on the carpet. I think this product is bleaching the carpet badly. Anyone have luck with a product or mixture that helps clean pet stains on carpeting>??
thanks much!

What can I do next?

Another thing for your problem....cheap diapers. My friends lab came in my DD's bedroom and pee'd!!!! I slapped a diaper down and put my full weight on it.....it was all about dried!!! All absorbed in the diaper. A little carpet fresh and voila!!!

One thing I have tried if you SEE the puppy piddle happening, Immediately sprinkle PET FRESH CARPET FRESH on it to absorb it and let it dry. Then simply vacuum it up, No sign left behind and it smells fresh afterwards too. My dogs don't like the smell of it and so if there are places in our yard we don't want her using the potty we sprinkle the area and she won't go near it to potty.

Odorban helps with the smell as far as stains resolve carpet cleaner. I had to throw away our carpet in the Kids room because my dogs just always kept peeing in there. the Odor ban should help and the resolve helps with stains I swear by it. Good luck with your puppy they certainly are alot of work I have two myself.

Nature's miracle works great! I have used it on everything - carpet, tile, wood, furniture, etc. I would test it is a small area just to be safe, and as long as you don't see a difference, go over the woolite areas too, since it could be that there is still a stain there from the urine. Nature's miracle is an enzyme cleaner and if you have a puppy I would go ahead and invest in the gallon jug. It breaks it down so even to the dog the area no longer smells. I've used it on urine, poop and vomit before and we have added it to our carpet cleaner instead of the shampoo if we are out and there is an odor for any reason or to spot clean.

You can also use a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water, but I don't know if that gets everything out as well.

The best products I have found to pick up the mess are Natures Miracle and regular old vinegar. Both products claim to mask the scent and prevent future accidents, but I haven’t found this to be true. What I usually do is clean the mess right away with Nature’s Miracle (or substitute vinegar if we are out). Once everything is cleaned and dry, I use Sol-u-mel and spray it on the carpet to eliminate the smell. Sol-u-mel has done the best job eliminating the nasty urine smell from the carpet.
