I am a new mom and my child needs a replacement security blanket. The only problem is his favorite buddy has been discontinued and I was not smart enough to buy more than one to start. I have spent well over 12 hours searching the internet for a replacement and no luck. So, I am turning to you for help. The blanket is by "Child of Mine" by Carter's and was sold exclusively at Wal-Mart. It is a yellow patchwork with rounded and square taggies on the sides. I would write to Carters and ask if there is any way to order one direct from them. There has to be a customer contact e-mail or number on their website.

How old is the child? I ask because, being the meanie I am, I finally took both my daughters 'lovies' away after they neglected to get their room cleaned one weekend (this was forever ago)... Before I knew it, they had both adopted a new lovie, something totally different from the first... even after THOSE had gotten taken away, they would find a replacement. Where there's a will, there's a way... No sense in replacing the exact same item if you don't absolutely have to :)
have you checked ebay? I know you said you spent hours on-line looking, but when my son lost his "Guy" (little stuffed dinosaur), I found quite a few on ebay and even other sites that sell "lovies". Good luck!!! I know the feeling.
Check ebay. I had to buy my son a replacement when his was discontinued as well. I found a few there and bought all three.
