Neighborhoods with Prek - 2Nd Grade Kids

Hi,

We were planning to move within the DFW area and was wondering if there were any specific areas/neighborhoods with lots of young kids and good schools in the DFW area within 40 minutes driving distance of Irving? I am looking for specific housing locations. Ex: Wentworth estates at Coit and Tulane in Plano. This must sound like a crazy question but I want to live on a street with friendly folks whose kids would like to get together and play after school with mine. It seems like such a morose end to a child's day when you've gone to school, done your homework, attended an "activity" and gone to bed. You could say I'm tired of our modern day lives. Hence the strange request. Thanks everyone!

What can I do next?

The kids in our neighborhood play nearly every afternoon. We are in Coppell. I don't know if that is on your radar, but if you are looking, there are a few near our neighbor hood.

Wellington in Flower Mound is a Master Planned Community full of kids. Very easy commute to Irving. If you want to have a lot of kids on your street , try to find a house on a cul de sac. Usually magnets for families.

I'd also second the suggestion for Coppell. We have a bunch of parks, excellent schools, friendly people and it's a great community for families with children. It's also very close to Irving making the commute not so bad.
