Go to the doctor. Get a test. ;) Sometimes the kits don't work as well as we want them to.
Good luck,

HI,
My husband and I have not really been trying to get pregnant, But we stopped the pill 3 months ago. My first two cycles were 30 days on the dot. This month, I am almost two weeks late, and have taken 3 pregnancy tests, all negative. I have swollen breasts and mild cramping.. I am overwhelmed by feelings of the possiblities of something gone wrong in my cycle, but in my whole life I have been regular.. Anyone else experience this? What was your outcome, any advice? Were desperate...
Wow,
I truly now believe the power of emotion over our bodies. I went to the md yesterday, negative blood test. She prescribed hormones to bring on my period. I was relieved to know finally that I wasn't pregnant, but nervous about hormones. My husband and I had a date last night and I finally came to accept the situation and let go of control. The next am, I got my period, without hormones! This has taught me that we should never try to control what we can't, just let go. I'm so relieved. Thanks for all your help.

the MDs say it can take as long as year to get pregnant after coming off the pill. Prior to my pregnancy I was on the pill for 10 years. I had similar results when I stopped taking the pill, the first few months were on schedule and then the next few, my periods were aboiut 6 weeks apart. after a while it leveled off and it was easier to track muy cycle and I became pregnant, for myself, it took about 9 months. I would not start to worry now...be patient (easier said then done) it is worth the wait...Best of luck.
I agree with Hannah, you are 2 weeks late now, call the dr and get the blood HCG drawn and they may want to do some other testing too.
It is probably just your body adjusting still to being off the pill. It took me 6-12 months to adjust each time I went off, The pill controlled your cycle while you were on it. Now your body is getting back to it's natural cycle. On Another note My first pregnancy I didn't get a positive result until I was 8 weeks along.
It could be that you are just testing too early. I have had my fair share of negative tests and still ended up being pregnant. My suggestion is to just wait another week or two before taking another test.
It sometimes takes a while for your body to be regular again after coming off the pill. Have you stopped any medications as well, if you were on any? I stopped mine and was late, by approx. 2 weeks. Give it a couple more days and if still nothing, call the doc.
stress can be a major factor. after 9/11, i skipped an entire month.
Go to the doc, and discuss maybe getting a blood test. I doubt it's a cycle issue. It might be that you're pregnant, but that your hormones are low. Or it might be that your egg got fertilized, but never implanted well. So you may get a very heavy period now. If so, it's an early miscarriage. That happened to me the month before I got pregnant with my son! I never had a positive pregnancy test, but my period was very late and than extremely heavy. It's very common, according to doctors.
Don't stress out, though. Call your doc!
D. - Don't stress too much, but do call your doctor and have blood drawn. Although it could be your body adjusting to hormone changes (from being off the pill), there are some people that don't get positive readings from at home pregnancy tests. I happen to be one of them. With my first I was already 10 weeks pregnant before I knew (with my second I knew within days because of the symptoms), but both times I got negative results on the at home pregnancy tests and I used 3 or 4 different brands. Both times I had cramping, sore breasts and light spotting for my first period post conception (after that no more spotting).
Give it an extra week. You could be pregnant but the test hasn't detected your increased hormone levels yet.
Hi, I would suggest wait a couple of days and try to relax as much as you can. Sometimes when you think to much about being late and possibily being pregnant your cycle take a little longer to come, also from being on the pill and now coming off your cycle needs to regulate on its own. I also suggest that if you have not recieved your cycle by the weekend call your Dr. and make appointment for a blood HCG test. From personal expierence and from working for an OB/Gyn I have seen that sometimes if you are too early it will not show in the urine. I took 6 test all neg. and when I went to the dr. i was 5 weeks preg. "very early" :0....
wish you best of luck.
Go get a blood test! My friend when she was pregnant used the stick tests and they always were negative even thoughshe really was pregnant. A.
You could still be pregnant. Sometimes your hormone levels are too low in the beginning to get a positive result with the home pregnancy tests. Go to you OBGYN and get a blood test done to be sure.
Hi D.
It is probably your hormones adjusting but since you are in doubt go to OB/Gyn. My suggestion call and make appt. Let them do the tests. At 39 I was late. Thought it was probably menopause, when I began to feel sick, thought of all kinds of diseases. Children 13& 18 at the time. OB said he would not even see me w/o pg test first so I could go in w/o appt and get that done. They squeezed me in that day to tell me I was pg and needed ultrasound. Yes, you guessed it I was pg. I won't bore you with all the details that went on in between but in the end it was twins and I was already 10 weeks pg.
Only God knows when children are to come into our lives.
We left it to Him our entire married life.
God bless you

The best thing you can do for yourself right now is to work on relaxing....slow down, allow yourself to breathe...try meditation...play your favorite music, turn all negative thoughts into positive ones...
Stress, worry, feelings of being overwhelmed and desperate, change of activities, diet, travel stopping the pill and the body adjusting to it are all known to cause a women's cycle to change.....also being pregnant can be a possibility.
Make an appointment with your GYN doctor to be checked out...have your doctor do a pregnancy test...
I think your body is adjusting to being off the pill. Even if you were always regular before and during the pill, your body is undergoing a big change, add that to the stress of wanting to get prego. 3 months isn't a very long time, even though some women get pregnant immediatley. It took me about 9 months to get pregnant after coming off the pill. Try to relax and not worry about it, I believe that once you do that things fall into place perfectly. That happened with me. I was more stressed/anxious about getting pregnant than I thought, then I finally said I'd stop thinking about it, enjoy the summer and concentrate on my exercising - seriously, it was like the next month I was prego. Good luck and try not to worry.
