I LOVE my beco baby carrier - like an Bjorn but can go to 45 lbs and you can carry them on the back!
Hello Again,
I am wondering if you can recommend an easy to use and comfortable Baby Sling/pouch. I am wanting something that is easy to use, easy to get baby in/out of and is comfortable for both of us. I have a Bjorn carrier but am wanting something that is a bit easier to manage and easier to get in/out of. I am open to any suggestions. Trying to plan how I am going to keep on the go for my 3 year old's (and mine) sake.
I would also like to use it after the infancy stage--into early toddler--like on my hip.
I am clueless on how to use a sling but know I would like to try an easy to use one.
Thank you,
~LA~

I like the Hotsling. You can find them cheaper on Ebay. Good luck and congrats!!
I used a Hotsling with my son from newborn to now. They are super-cute and come with an instructional DVD and manual. It was quite expensive, but I recently saw them available at Target for a little less than I paid online. I practiced using it at home before I used it in public. I got pretty good at swinging him in and out of it. I used it to travel on the train when he was 3 months old and I had my hands free to carry luggage. Plus he was snuggled close during the train ride so I could nurse if I needed to. I loved it when he was a newborn because it cradled him so nicely. Then as he was able to sit up I used it to carry him facing forward which was my absolute favorite way to carry him. Now I can use it to carry him on my hip. The downside is that there is not a lot of support. I used it once while shopping for a couple hours when he was 4-5 months (forward facing) and my shoulder was pretty sore. I have used the soft Snugli and hated how complicated it was with all the straps. He's now 9 months old and I use a Hip Panda (also puchased online) to carry him on my hip. I like it because all his weight goes on my hips and it's quick to get on and off. He seems to like it, too. I know several girls that use ring slings and love them because they are adjustable. Hope this helps. Good Luck:)
Hi L.,
I purchased the New Native Baby Sling with my 3rd child and love it! I couldn't use anything else because I always got too hot and sweaty, and this is a lightweight, breathable material. I even used it on my older son who was just 2 at the time. It holds up to 35 pounds, I do believe. Here is a link to the New Native site:

but you can also look around on other baby product sites and purchase it a little cheaper. I did, but don't remember which site it was...it was almost 2 years ago. They come in different colors and they also go by the size of your bust so it won't possibly be too big or too small because you choose your size. They send you instructions and pictures of all the different ways you can use it, too. I LOVE IT!! It's one of the less expensive ones I've seen, too.
Hope this helps you out,
Liz.
