I am due to have a baby in a few weeks and would like to have someone show me the best way to strap her car seat in. I live in Keller. If you know of anywhere close by where I could get someone to show me the best way to strap her seat into my vehicle I would appreciate any tips.

I live in Keller as well. When we installed car seats for the first time we called Southlake Firedept. They have a few people that are trained on how to install properly and if you make an appt they will do it for you and help you out. Highly recommend them. There is a location that is near corner of 1709 and Davis Blvd that does it and also a location near the Southlake Shopping Plaza.

Congrats to you! You should be able to go to any fire station or police station and have one of them show you how to install your car seat. There is a website that you can log onto and check for other sites near you. http://www.seatcheck.org/
Usually either one of the police departments or fire stations have someone trained to do sfety inspections on the installation of the car seats, and may even help you do it. Call Keller City Hall and they will direct you to the correct person. I live in NRH and that is what I did. One of the police officers there is certified in carseats and helped me.

If you go to the fire station alot of the time they will show you are tell you when and where they will have a date scheduled to teach proper car seat placement.

Also, Harris Methodist Hospitals (HEB, Southwest & Downtown) offer rotating car seat checks and host on-site checks at various locations. They recently were at the Fort Worth Child baby fair at Ridgemar Mall (ok, not that recent, but I too am expecting in a few weeks and time flies when you are busy getting things ready).

If you contact the Keller Police Department they should have a Safty officer that should be more than happy to make sure the car seat is installed properly. If not contact the Grapevine or Colleyville Police Department. I know they have a Safty officers. Part of their job is to keep up on the latest carseats and how they are properly installed.
A lot of Car Dealer have a certified kids car seat installer.

I also live in Keller and had a baby about a year ago. We called the police department and made a quick appt to have them check our carseat. Very easy and helpful department.
I went to the public health department in Fort Worth. It is by appointment but they were very helpful and also gave me guideline on how to safely strap my baby in. It is worth the trip. City of Fort Worth Car Seat Check ###-###-####
Hello. Best place to go for that is your local fire station. They are all trained in car seat placement. If not, then you can call the closest children's hospital to you. They can either help you or tell you where you can go. Good luck and congrats!
You can go to the Keller Police Department. You have to call and make an appointment first.
Call Cook Childrens Urgent Care on Precinct Line Rd and they will make an appt for you. You can also call Safe Kids Tarrant County and they can refer you to several people doing checks.

Harris Methodist HEB no longer checks car seats. You can have your seat checked at the Cook Childrens Urgent Care Center at Precint Line and Mid-cities Blvd. by appt. Call ###-###-#### for an appt. The Child Passenger Technicians have a lot of experience and a Child Passenger Instructor is always on staff. You will not find this kind of experience at a fire or police station.
