I got one at Target because it was shaped like a penguin and it has worked really well.
Hello! I need to buy a humidifier for my baby he's starting to get a little congested at night as it's getting cooler outside. .I prefer a cool mist humidifier that has a nice "mist." Does anyone have any recommendations as far as brand is concerned, quality, use, etc.? thanks for your help!

Wal-Mart Relione $25, this one is the best for the money. We have gone through 2 of another brand before we bought this one, it is awesome.
I bought three different humidifiers until I read the reviews on the Crane cool mist humidifier - frog edition. I love it, very quiet at night and very easy to maintain. Do not waste your time gettting the CVS cool mist humidifier or the Vicks cool mist humidifier both are extremely noisey and one was leaking.
Our asthma specialist, at Hope Children's Hospital, strongly advises against using a room humidifier. According to him, you can never fully get the plastic chambers clean and bacteria grows inside, unseen. We ended up with a whole house humidifier. It attaches to your furnace and fresh water goes in and the old water goes out. We really love it and it keeps the entire house at the right humidity level and not just one room.
Hi there,
I have the Vicks cool mist humidifier and love it. It isn't the quietest I've seen but works well (especially with the little Vick's pads you can put in it). We had one of the cheaper animal ones (the frog) from BRU and it got all gross and was hard to clean. Eventually (less than 2 years) it broke and we didn't use it much.
We got this one for a gift so I'm not sure the cost but I'm guessing around $60. It is worth it.
Good luck in your choice!
I LOVE my Holmes I program what humidity I want and high med low and just watch the water level and it only goes on when it needs to.
