Need Suggestions on Where to Buy Shoes for Toddler with Wide Feet

My 16-month old has very wide, thick feet and I'm having a tough time finding shoes that fit. I have tried Stride Rite and the extra wide sizes will accomodate the width of his feet but not the thickness, so I'm looking for suggestions on shoe stores or brands that carry shoes for extra thick feet. Thank you!

My daughter also has fat wide feet. I go to Payless and Walmart. Target seems to only make shoes for narrow feet.

I've got a 6 yr old girl with wide and flat feet. It has always been a challenge to find things that fit her. The best place I've found is Gotskinds in Naperville. They are on the expensive side ( I think I spend more on hers then my own!), but they are very, very good shoes. They are sturdy and last well. The people there are extraordinarily helpful, know their business and really seem to enjoy what they do. I highly recommend them.

Hi!
I got my son Wides at Stride Rite. I also heard there is a new Stride Rite Outlet at the Aurora Mall so that may help! I had my mom buy my son's at the Atride Rite Outlet in Wisconsin. They will measure your child at any Stride Rite Store!

My son had what we called 'flintstone feet' as a toddler. I found certain stride rite shoes in xxw to work. Not all of their styles were roomy enough for his feet, but some were. Ones that worked for us were those white, first walker shoes (look kinda like high tops). Also, they had a sueded gym shoe that looked kind of like an indoor soccer shoe that was very roomy.
Also, robeez type shoes worked as well. We bought him the shooshoo brand. hope this helps.

Morning,

I always took my girls to Stride Rite, they had everything that my girls needed growing up. Fat pudgie feet to skinny.

I have taken my niece Gianna there to get her first pair of shoes back in January.

Nice place.

Try Payless Smartfit. Their wide widths worked for both my daughters.

Nordstroms at Woodfield Mall has a great selection of children's shoes, especially difficult-to-find shoes. Their sales people are very helpful as well.

try payless. I love their shoes and they come in wide, when I have bought stride ride and others for my son he would say his foot hurt. now he doesn't complain in those

Both of my boys have very wide feet. Gotskinds in Naperville carries a variety of shoes that fit them. They also have a store in Glen Ellyn.
