Alright Mammas,
It is becoming more and more apparent to me that I need help keeping my house clean. My husband is a big help, but it just seems like the minute I get something cleaned up, I turn around and it's a mess again. I usually hit the major areas (ones that people will see), but the rest of the house either gets a quickie or gets completely forgotten. I need help!!!! What can you tell me? Who have you used, what is a reasonable price for me to expect to pay, who did you not like, who did you like, do you prefer using a company or a person working on their own? Help!!! I'm wearing myself out trying to keep up, and feeling guilty because I can't.
We've got a GREAT maid, comes every 2 weeks to clean our 3400 sq ft house. She comes with her sister, mom and dad and it takes them about 3 hrs to clean our house, they are very thorough, do sheets, clean the fridge, everything. We pay $100, but I'm sure if you had them do less it or for a smaller house it would be less. Lettie ###-###-####

I had an individual who cleaned my 2000 sf home when I was single. However, when I got married, had children, and moved to a 4000 sf home, it proved to be too much for one or two people. (That is, unless I wanted to remove myself and my children from the home for 5-6 hours.) Now, we have a cleaning crew that comes and it was the BEST decision we could've made. There are usually about 5 of them and each person has a designated area. I usually sit on the patio while the children play in the yard and the crew is done in 1 hr and 30 min! They do a fantastic job and I can usually do the "white glove" test and come up with nothing! The best part, they only charge $90! I usually give them a $20 tip because they are absolutely wonderful.
