Need Shampoo Routine for Lots of Fine Hair, Soon to Be Tween

My daughter used to get away with washing her hair every other day but it is starting to look greasy. We changed to a shampoo that doesn't have conditioner which helped but now the tangles are unbearable. How do you deal with tangles without getting the greasy weighed down look?

ETA We used clarifying shampoo every once in awhile and I make sure she rinses well, but doesn't seem to be the answer.

She was using Loreal 3 in 1, then started using Pantene but didn't like the smell. Today she used Suave that she chose, it has a coconut scent. I think she's going to have to get used to a new smell but we need something that will detangle and NOT weigh down her hair. Seems hard to find.

What can I do next?

I use Loreal Vive for fine hair. The conditioner does leave it a little more tangly than I would like, but if you brush your hair before you wash it and don't tangle it all up while washing it, it works pretty well.
I also use a little bit of "Silk Drops" on my palms and rub it into the ends before drying.... really makes shiny hair.

I really like the Aveeno spray on conditioner. It's very light but makes my comb-throughs very easy!

I'm a hairstylist. She can use a light conditioner for fine hair... just keep it off the scalp and be sure she is rinsing it out very well. Also, using a detangler/moisturizing spray may be a good choice. I highly recommend Sebastion's Detangling Milk spray.

I have always had very fine blond hair. I find that it is best to only use a light conditioner on the ends of my hair to keep split ends to a minimum. My young children don't even need conditioner. What they do need is detangler spray. I use it on wet hair after a bath. On school mornings I spray dry hair with water and then detangler. Comb through. I have used Suave and Mane n Tail detanglers and like them both. Mane n Tail probably has the milder scent. Conditioners are just too much for fine hair. Leave in conditioners are even worse. I only use 2 in 1 shampoos when traveling, just for convenience/time sake.

I love Aussie shampoo when I am getting greasy - can't remember the name as I am "out" but it was for greasy roots AND dry ends combined. Also, when I shampoo every other day I shampoo 2 times, then conditioner only ends of hair.

My sister uses a detangler for her 3 daughters, and it seems to work well.
