I am looking for a good pediatrician in my area (Tinley Park or surrounding communities)THAT ACCEPTS NEW PATIENTS WITH MEDICAID. My son is 2 1/2 years old and has many health issues, so we spend a lot of time on doctor's visits. The last two pedicians we've had (one in Orland Park, the other in Midlothian), have not been very thorough and are not at all personable or friendly (they're very cold to be baby doctors). Your recommendations of doctors you are pleased with would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi P.,
My girls and I see Dr. Vinod(pediatrician) and Dr. Varsha(obgyn) at Christ Hospital in Oaklawn.
They accept medicaid and they are a great husband and wife team, we've been seeing them for about 4 years and I am very happy with them, here's their info:

Dr. Vinod & Varsha Upadhyaya(upadia)
4400 W. 95th St. Suite 201
Oak Lawn, IL. 60453

My children attend the dolton medical center which is located at 15437 cottage grove and there phone number is ###-###-####. The pediatrician is Dr. Ghandi and he's very good and thorough when it come's to my children. My child had an accident were he had internal skull bleeding and Dr. Ghandi was very concerened to the poing were he ordered different test's from the hospital. So this is my recommendation and he does accept medicaid and the front desk staff is courteous also.

P.,
I go to Dr. Dumais, he is located in Orland Park, he is so great, I would recommend him to anyone, very personable, spends a lot of time in the room with us. He just started his practice but has been around for a long time working in the NICU at Christ Hospital, his practice is pretty small. He always answers my calls, questions, and makes me feel educated about things. I cant say enough great things about him, let me know if you want his number. oh btw I am not sure if he accepts medicaid, you would have to call and ask about that one.

hope this helps

I love Dr. Jain from Hedges Clinic in Frankfort. He is wonderful. For example, when my 3rd child was born, he spent 2 weeks on life support. Dr. Jain was not his primary doctor but still stopped by a minimum of 2 times a day to check on him and to make sure that I understood all the problems and medications and procedures that were being done. He received no compensation for all this time that he spent with us but did it for concern of my child. Dr. Jain will also squeeze you in to a completly booked day and then follows up with phone calls. Hedges takes all kinds of insurance and Dr. Jain is always accepting new patients. Hedges clinic is located on Colorado Avenue across the street from Lincoln Way East high school. Phone # ###-###-####. Good luck!
