My six year-old daughter recently went to a pediatric ophthalmologist named Dr. Lawrence Kaufman. He diagnosed her with an astigmatism that requires glasses. My daughter's father and I want to get a second opinion. Does anyone have a recommendation for a pediatric eye doctor in the city, preferably on the north side? sorry, I don't have a recommendation...but wanted to let you know Dr. Kaufman comes highly recommended. A family friend and highly regarded eye surgeon personally recommended him to us for our children. Not sure how you came by Dr Kaufman, but just wanted you to know you are working with a well respected professional. Good Luck
Dr. Peter Rabiah of Evanston Northwestern Healthcare (offices in Evanston & Glenview) is EXCELLENT. He's been checking my son's eyes since he was a preemie in the hospital!

Hi, C.. I know you said northside, but in case you don't get any recommendations that work out, maybe you'd consider coming south. My children have been going to Dr. Jill for about a year now and we LOVE her. My daughter has strabismus and instead of just putting her in glasses, she put us on a therapy regimen that seems to be working. Here's her info:
