Hi! My son has not been to the dentist yet and I am trying to find a dentist that will accept Anthem Blue Cross dental insruance near Broomfield. Does anyone who has this insurance have a recommendation?
I have not yet signed him up for the insurance, but my husband and I are already on it which is why I was leaning that way. Is there a better dental insurance for kids out there? Do kids even need dental insurance at 3 years old? Should I just pay out of pocket at this point?
Thank you for your help!!! ~ H.

Try Brian Rieker he is off 120th. He is super sweet, has three kids of his own.
###-###-####, they accept all insurances, sometimes it is out of network but you should have benefits on even out of network, call your provider and find out if they are part of in or out of network.
Dr. Lorenz in Lafayette, Colorado. I am not sure where you are located. However, the office is great, they accept the insurance, it is children ready and friendly and Dr. Lorenz is a good dentist. Most, importantly, your child by 3 does need to begin regular dental cleanings and check ups. The office is really good about age specific requirements and teaching him about the instruments so he will not be afraid. My oldest is 5 and has been going since she was 2.
FYI - Your son should also be getting regular eye exams by age 6 months. If you neeed an optician I have the most wonderful eye doctor also located in Lafayette. She also does free eye exams for 6 month old babies if you know anyone who might need it.
I highly recommend Perfect Teeth off of Wadsworth in Arvada. Dr. Hymer (woman) and all her staff (hygeinest, assistant, everyone) is/are SO good with children. I take my 6 & 4 year old sons there (yes, starting at 3 or even sooner if you suspect any problems) and they love it! When it's time for one to have a cleaning, the other is upset that they don't "get to go". They take their time, know how to deal with each age, they are just awesome. My dental insurance comes from our main office in IL even though I'm in CO, and they take Delta Dental of IL, so I'm sure they would take yours! I do recommend insurance already...my 4 yr old had to go in to Children's and Dr. Hymer performed "surgery" - putting him to sleep and putting a few crowns on teeth that came through without enough calcium so they were deteriorating (not cavities, just so brittle they were chipping off)...yes, only 3 out of 20 teeth, strange. Anyway, it was a great experience too. I am totally willing to go from (home) Erie or (work) Louisville to Arvada in order to have them work on my children. Good luck!
HI. I have 2 boys and have them both on dental insurnace - mainly because if they are riding bikes and bust a tooth medical insurance wont cover it.
We go to Appletree Dental in Eastlake (Thornton) and I love the people. I wanted child sized equipment but they have great modification (cool sunglasses, fish pillows...) and they are great with kids.
Good luck
we have been taking our almost three year old son to Young Dentistry for Children for over a year now. he loves to see the dentist and they are absolutely wonderful with children!! The address is 905 West 124 the Ave Suite 190, Westminster, CO 80234. Their number is ###-###-####. We also have Blue Cross insurance and they do take it.
I highly recommend Dr. Gary and Dr. Novak - I have been going to Dr. Novak for 30 years (in Broomfield on 136th). Dr. Gary is great, fun, and only does what is needed to your mouth.
I started getting insurance for my kids at 3 - for cleanings and in case something happened to their teeth. Not sure if it was worth it- but provides me piece of mind.
Have you checked out www.youngdentistryforchildren.com? they are located at 124th and Huron. They also have a location in Louisville, if that is closer for you. I had the best experience with my 18 mo old son. They are very kid-friendly, making a point to talk to the parents individually while the kiddos are distracted by a hygienist and a "treasue chest" filled with toys! After our visit, they sent my son a card with his photo and a "tooth" magnet to show their appreciation. I was so impressed by the dentist's ability to distract my young son as she inspected his teeth for the first time. Good luck searching--hope this helped! ~Mommy of one, with one cooking~
I would also recommend Young Dentistry. They are great. It's a good idea to have his mouth checked at this age. You want to know if his teeth are coming in properly and also the general health of his mouth, gums, etc.
We have an awesome dentist (my 6 year old just had 2 cavities filled and is looking forward to going to the dentist again), he's off 112th & Colorado. I'm not sure if he accepts Blue Cross but it wouldn't hurt to call him. His name is Carl Givan, ###-###-####. good luck
