I have two little girls who have birthday's coming up and I need ideas! My oldest daughter will be turning 6 and my little one will be turning 1 - both have birthdays in May...two days apart! Therefore I must have them share one birthday party, at least this year. I plan to have a BBQ at our house, like I have done every year. I am seeking cute birthday ideas, i.e invitation ideas (cute poem or saying using both girls), decorations, activities, etc. I'd like to keep the theme the same.... But how can I make my 6 year old happy, yet keep it cute for a 1 year old? I was lucky enough to have found matching birthday outfits! Would love to hear any fun and cute birthday ideas for a shared birthday party for a 6 year old and a 1 year old! Thank you so much!

A. there is a great web site that I just love. familyfun.com It has great birthday party ideas and other kid friendly ideas. I use it all the time when I need a craft or ideas for my 4 children. When I help with parties at school I go there. They also have a magazine that I get. I hope you try it and love it as much as I do.

Some good themes for them could be circus, or candy shop.

Sounds like it will be a fun time! THe idea of doing with both the girls is really cute..a tea party might be fun? I just had my sons 1st B-day and I had to keep reminding myself that it is more for the parents and family then the one year old and not to go over board. So even though it is for both girls your 6 year old will be the one remembering it all..maybe ask her for ideas and let her plan something special for her and her sister?
I might make her feel extra special on this very happy day!
